DW was on a train back to London at the time. I have some very heavy boots that I have not yet fully broken in, plus some fairly lightweight ones that I cannot find.
Oh, and I have some proofing spray. I'll give that a try on the jacket.
Along with my heavy boots I also had a 'proper' waxproof barbour. It had small holes in the sleeves by way of wear and tear and had been reproofed a number of times. It was extremely scruffy after 25 years of dog walking and stable duties. OH insisted I buy a new light weight one. Still a barbour, dark green but with a floral lining. It is no where near as comfortable as my old jacket...but as that was growing mildew last winter hanging in the garage OH took it as a sign he could throw it away.0 -
Congratulations Masomina - hopefully it's all bound and handed in now?So, PN, how was the too big bottle issue resolved? We are all on the edge of our seats.
Not as close to the edge of your seat as I am regarding beep-gate. We (I) need another update - is the beep every hour?lostinrates wrote: »I think they do it with a charge for it in most places, thought there had always been a charge for bulk collection in places I have lived though..and items were limited, four items or something.
Here I think they do something similar for the more rural towns/ villages - once or twice a year they set dates to collect large items for disposal. In the more 'metropolitan' :rotfl: areas such as where I live, they charge a set fee for up to 4/5 items to be collected. I don't live so very far from a [STRIKE]tip[/STRIKE] recycling centre, if I can fit whatever I'm looking to get rid of the Mini/ nice neighbour is going to the tip.0 -

Ooh - not thought of that!
I only found the details when I was looking to get rid of the boards that were blocking the kitchen/ dining room door + bed from dining room.
Then neighbour took the boards to the tip for me and I put the bed in the garage to procrastinate/ hoard
That can go on my list of 'things to do next year'0 -

Doesn't count when it's not your own work0 -

Hopefully he's just super busy with his business venture? Rather than having been kidnapped by a dentist :eek:0
