Pastures, if you want a buddy on a trip to JL to try it out..I can do next Thurs. Not sure where your nearest one is. There is a very nice one by IKEA.
I've no desire to go to JL ... it's for "old, portly, busy-body women" in my past experience.... not "my sort of shop" at all .....and I'd rather spend the rest of my life never entering it to be honest0 -
This one looks quite good - £399 good choice of colours

Passable. http://www.sofasworld.co.uk/p/Mali_3_Seater_Fabric_Sofa.htm
£300; Arms acceptable; Legs acceptable; 2 cushions; 190cm wide; 94cm deep, but they don't specify cushion depth; 4-6 weeks though
Also acceptable, except never been a fan of cord materials for anything. http://www.sofasworld.co.uk/p/Milano_3_Seater_Fabric_Sofa.htm £329, sizes they give require clarification though (mixed up/wrong). Next day delivery.0 -

It's "compact". 163cm width. So it's a 2 seater. I want a 3 seater, with 2 cushions.0 -
All I want ... is what I can't have .... at an unrealistic price.... and fast.0

Maybe I should post on the "I Wanna Buy It ...." board
I'd always envisaged being at this stage of getting my house together ... and wandering into Ikea, seeing the perfect sofa at the perfect price and just buying it. Never knew the world would be different...0 -

Would IKEA expect you to take it away yourself or charge for delivery?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Less of the old, definitely less of the portly, less of the busy-body. I'll accept "women".I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. They have a delivery service that you pay for. Details on website I expect. If this is going to be PN's once-in-a-lifetime new sofa, I hope she chooses what she wants and does not compromise too much just to get it a couple of weeks sooner. That flat-pack sofa may be okay, but it looks very uncomfortable, and it may be very wobbly without proper joints. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Slightly too short and a little too dark, but in budget:
