Back when I was a lurker (probably even before the inaugural NPT) it always felt like you (lir), Gen and NDG were siblings :o Just something about the way you interact and communicate in general.

Sigh, if lots of nice people were my family I'd be very content!

Maybe that's why Tevez was so upset!

What a lovely thing to say.

I'm actually a very flawed person so I think you wouldn't want me as a brother. I'd make a good cousin seen now and again though I think.

Which of us isn't flawed? In some way or another.

Edit: I mean, I'm painfully aware of a long list of my flaws (I'm sure my list doesn't even scratch the surface though). There are many NP I'd happily put up on a pedestal, but I'm pretty sure they feel they have flaws too. I think our flaws are just as important and fundamental to ourselves as the bits we like. Or at least that's what I tell myself to get myself from day to day.

When I bought Dells for my office, I just reformatted the hard disks and reinstalled Windows, without the carp-ware.

Take a look over here for an easier solution, but do a backup before trying it:
    http://pcdecrapifier.com/download

I never thought to search "decrapifier"; if only I had known it was a word. Now the kids have got so much crap on their machines, if I ran decrapifier they would moan that they had lost crucial crap.

My laptop store of chose is ebuyer. There used to be a thread on the techy board, identifying good cheap laptop deals, but it seems to have disappeared.
Have invitation to supper on Saturday, need to return call tomorrow. Feeling good today so tempted to accept. Don't know what tomorrow brings so concerned to.

    Dither, dither, dither.

Know the host well enough to disappear and kip, don't know other guests at all, so will forever be 'that weird woman who just...went to bed'

Go, you always regret not doing something. Rise to the occasion and if it means you spend all Sunday in bed, then so be it.
That sounds like it's going to be the sort of story that'd have kept me awake at night if I'd heard it earlier :)

It is ridiculous trying to get at your own money when you need it .... I'll just be glad once I know it's "safe", not been hacked out of the bank, the bank didn't close down, the money transferred OK and all's well :)

I expect to make my final transfer tomorrow, which will arrive at the solicitor's Friday .... and then I'll pop down there to get them to confirm it all arrived ... then I can sleep over the weekend.

I thought it would worry you, so my lips will stay sealed until you have completed. I can tell you that all ended well, so no reason to think it won't do so for you.

The buying ride's a breeze compared to the selling ride :)

How's your mother/househunting going? I think you've despaired and given up as you've not mentioned it lately :)

LIR's gone quiet on her RP/Non-RP purchase options too.

Selling not going so well, 6 viewings, 3 said upstairs too small (true), 3 didn't respond to agents post viewing messages. Agent has a few more lined up but I am loathe to bother the tenants again. Thoughts?

Seeing as half the time I feel like I'm turning this into a greenfingered or MFW board - how about you post us a link so we can tell you (like the threads in the housebuying forum) :D

What are the tenants like? I always found it very irritating having people traipsing round the place I was renting. Do they want to stay longer term (I know you're not intending to let it out longer term, but they might mind it less if they are looking to move on)/ are they generally good tenants? If they're not causing you bother I'd be inclined to say lay off the viewings if it doesn't seem likely that you'll get any serious viewers.

    Just my tuppenceworth.
