Ain't that the truth. I had basically never really had anything wrong with me until I was 30. Since then I've fainted three times, been to a&e twice, had two leg operations, been for physio more times than I can remember and spent most of the rest of the time nursing a nasty achilles tendon problem.0 -
Sorry to hear of your woes chewy
Hope it doesn't set your recovery back much.0 -

Did you go to see someone about this? What did they say?
Could be worse - at least you made it as far as the beer festival0 -

I am not sure that's visible? It's a very apt cartoon, that caught my eye in the paper today. If it's not visible, I think the link works. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

He's only just done his GCSEs - so he's either just turned 16, or coming up to it? He could still therefore have that spurt, I suppose. How tall is he now?
He was 16 in March and he is 4ft 11.
It does have its advantages though, he didn't outgrow his clothes before they wore out like his brothers, he actually got decent wear out of every single item he had!
He still hasn't outgrown his shorty bed which is quite lucky as fitting a full size bed in his room would be a bit of an exercise in good planning :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

After the second time, the doctor sent me for various tests which concluded that I was a bit pasty and needed to go out in the sun more, but that wasn't what was causing me to faint. She said that it happens to some people and I just need to learn to recognise the signs and manage it as best I can. The best way is to not stand up quickly!0 -

You have lowish blood pressure, which is pretty healthy? Apart from the tendency to faint, of course. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I saw that this morning and thought it quite apt. Have been out all day though so not up with the latest.
We went into London to watch the Anniversary Games. Started with running on the Mall (free) then onto Horseguards where a temp stadium had been built. Beautiful setting. One of my favourite athletes, a guy by the name of Kim Collins, set a new national record for St Kitts. He's been around a long time and would be a lot better known were it not for some high profile drugs cheats that finished in front of him, so lovely to see him running in such good form. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

What Yorkie said.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
