Groin thrusting is free. Think I'll be doing more of it, as it is pretty much all I can afford for 4 weeks...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Saw a job friday night, with a deadline of monday.
Frantic weekend/late nights doing the application.
Emailed it off monday morning.
Nice to report I got an email acknowledging receipt. Only a little thing, but it means something. It annoys me the amount of time/effort put into applications, & with email/text message employers really have no excuse to not take the time to acknowledge the effort/interest.
Anyways, fingers crossed.
Oooh, exciting. Tell us more, please.Do you qualify for benefits now you don't have any capital to speak of?
I think she prefers the poverty of not claiming to the hassle and intrusiveness of the benefits forms.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I must feel bad. I ate a mr kilpling pie. It was as grim as I remembered. I also ate toast today. Not a healthy eating day in the least!0

Opinions on savoury muffins please? When I'm feeding those beer soaked men. I've pretty much decided I don't want to do a fry up because they might all surface at different times. So I'll do a buffet instead I think.....
Are savoury muffins weird? Twee? A bit naff? There will be other stuff. In honour of gen I'll bake some croissants, a fruit salad. Dunno what else yet. Fruit, yogurt, honey

These are your "happy campers" that are coming to stay?0 -
I don't think deprivation of assets comes into play if you have used the money to buy a home.
Income support would give you about £71 a week. If you were working over 30 hours a week, working tax credit would give you more.
With or without claiming one of those two, you could claim help with council tax.
sea shells on mirrors sounds more fun.
Changing the subject, someone said they wanted to share something on the other place. 1 July now, so there should be some band width.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. They are getting plenty of meat the day before, a pork pie certainly ( been requested..) then a BBQ at the gig. I think I'm also going to give them a salad, maybe a salad Nicoise, and lots of bread, because they have to stay sober. Meat and bread seems important.
I haven't seen some of these guys since they got married / had kids. They drink, but they also eat yogurt. They might want to let hair down.....or might be incredibly straight laced now.

You make your own croissants - pretty impressive!
Fruit salad is lots of work to make.
If they are beer soaked, I think something fatty and stodgy might be good. Maybe a quiche?
Cold thin crust pizza is surprisingly yummy, and even I can make that. I start with laffahs - large size pittas - and simply spread the ingredients on, then pop them in the oven.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Agree that buying a house won't count as deprivation of assets.Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
