Carpetright don't manufacture carpets, they sell them in their thousands, and therefore have huge buying power.
Think Tesco, your Hinze beans are cheaper than the local store.
Check the final total amount, don't allow snob posters claiming that you get a better deal always at an independent. I KNOW they have not checked every independent carpet retailer in the UK , but their sweeping statements are always laughable,
But the snob posters didn't say check every independent, they said check "your" local independent. World of difference, right orf to get mi "hinze" beans:D:D;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

But I never say to ignore the local independent, I just reply to those who post constantly that the local independent is going to be a better deal ...........they have no proof.
Check both and take the best deal .0 -

I agree.
I do a bit of detective work, it show that CR sell well known companies carpets, under a different name, usually very similar name, and different color name too.
I mean top end wool
mix ones. The sale prices therefore are usually less than other shops. Go elsewhere for grippers etc.
My L room carpet is 10 yrs old
same for stairs but am replacing them soon, from CW.
Got my b edroom one from them last yr.0 -
To be fair last wool carpet I bought worked out cheapest at carpetright as there fitting cost are pretty fair, but I bought my own underlay and new gripper myself and saved about £600

I think that over the years Carpet Right have done most of our house. I live in Croydon and have access to numerous carpet retailers, both chains and independents and have found that CR prices have generally been better than the rest. In West Wickham, near where I live, there is a CR opposite a large independent and CR have beaten them on price and fitting every time.
They've always delivered the carpet on time and the fitters they use have been very good - so as I know I get a reasonable price and good service, I'm happy to use them.0 -

Cracking last time I looked my local carpet supplier was about 30% cheaper than carpet right. And even if they where on pa id still support local business.
Just about to do the attic son will compare again. But would need to be a lot cheaper for me to extract the barge pole from the shed. The futures bright the future is Ginger0
