Hi
Carpetright has just finished a 50% off sale just as I was about to order!
Does anybody know when the next 50% sale is? A colleague thinks they do one in August... Can anyone confirm this as I can't afford to pay the full price.
Many thanks

First rule of sales. Its not how much is off the price it is how much you pay.
The end of the sale means at present their carpets are probably twice what you would pay in any independent store.0 -

As soon as one finishes the next starts Lol0

Why not go to a decent independent retailer. If you go to carpetright you will be massively overpaying for underlay and grips etc.0

Monday....as already said. They always have a 50% off sale. They have to charge full price for a few days every now and again so they can have a 50% off sale.
However, you can easily get 60% off simply by asking for it. If you haggle you can get 70% off as long as the carpet you buy isn't one that is in high demand.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

It's absolutely true, pick the carpet you want based on rough price range etc, then tout it round the local retailers sale or not.
The days of actual sales are long gone, they's sooner fool all folks they are getting a bargain most of the time than actually give a few the bargain just a few weeks of the year. This is all outlets, not specifically carpetsI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Probably started already.
Don't go there - find your local independent where you'll probably get better service and a better carpet for the same price.0 -
Remember that you can always go somewhere else to purchase the carpet. There are hundreds of carpet retailers and they are all competing for your business therefore you are in a very strong position.
Play them off and if the offer is not good enough tell them you will go and look at another retailer. Or tell them a store that has made an offer and the carpet and price and expect them to beat it or they lose your business. It could be the nail in their companies coffin if they lose your sale. Remember that!0 -
Carpetright don't manufacture carpets, they sell them in their thousands, and therefore have huge buying power.
Think Tesco, your Hinze beans are cheaper than the local store.
Check the final total amount, don't allow snob posters claiming that you get a better deal always at an independent. I KNOW they have not checked every independent carpet retailer in the UK , but their sweeping statements are always laughable,0 -
