So, maybe taking away the 100 x 99p listings a month may have been a boo boo.....

Woke up this morning to another ebay offer - 200 free listings this weekend. Why don't they just give and up reinstate the monthly listings?? It is clearly costing the money else they'd not be offering all these free listing weekends!!

Got that too. Taken me by surprise again! There go my plans for the weekend. So much to clear and haven't started at all!!! At least it is spread over 4 days! But 200?? not 100?!?0
-
This is crazy. 6 or 7 weekends with no free listings and then 100, 100 and 200 free listings in consecutive weekends.0

Private sellers again

never got it on all my accounts, only on one of them. normally I get free listing on 2 accounts.0

As a private seller, I only ever list on eBay when there's an offer. Strangely, because eBay had been intermittently excluding my account from the 100 free listing offers, I found myself often not bothering or only bothering to relist/list a few items when I did get an invitation.
Replicate this behaviour across most private sellers' accounts and eBay would discover that that amount of listings and resulting sales from private accounts has sharply declined over the last 6 months...
...Perhaps the 200 free listings is an attempt to reverse this trend of decline?"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Went to check my account and e bay seems to be down. Heigh ho!
That won't help them a lot.0 -
Our private account that got this FLW has high sales, often maxing out on the free listings. I am unsure if they are trying to entice me to get a shop on that account.0

They probably are.....
e.g. I am a small private seller and in all the years Iv used ebay ALL the paypal cash I get from selling is respent on ebay, mostly to business sellers.
If I dont sell off our old stuff, there is no paypal money for me to spend on ebay.
I cant afford to risk paying 35p per listing to try to get rid of stuff, since Im a small private seller, there is not even a guarantee that anyone will even see my items given how the ebay search "works" by manipulating results.0 -

Absolutely fine here, try logging out clearing your cache and trying again.
I have the 200 offer as well but unfortunately cannot use it due to impending holidays. I might put a couple of very short BINs on though with immediate payment required. My last private sales did very well, I was quite impressed- but I've obviously got to the interesting shelf in storage :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
