I have had my reconsideration in from 20/02, so 29 weeks today!! Keep getting told the decision will be made any day now, shocking timescale! Calling them twice a week and getting the same script each time! A long waiting game! Good luck to all waiting x
Oh no Amy that's shocking that's since February :mad:let us know on here when you hear and as mines June I can estimate from the day you hear ours will be 4 months later:mad::mad::mad:

I did the mandatory reconsideration the day it was first refused they did quote 11 weeks I then got a letter telling me if was delayed and no time scale I then spoke to my local MP and within 4 weeks of him getting involved we got the answer. I must add though I don't even think they read the forms or even listened to me ( they phoned for more info on reconsideration ) as some of the reasons for only giving lower rate are completely wrong so I am now appealing the decision and it will take 6 months.
Let us know on here when you hear anything JR4 because I think mines going to be about 6 months,my daughter was turned down lower rate care £21 pw so that's what I'm fighting but I'm expecting after waiting 12 months for them to look at it again a flat no and then tribunal so probably staring down the barrel of another 3 months on top .... But I won't ever give up till they start to listen

I will be sure to let you know when I know! I called again today (as I do every few days) and I got told the same old thing, the decision will be made in the next week or so! So frustrating! Good luck and hope you have more patience than me lol!! X

I will do Twinkle40 I have to fill the forms in and then wait I am opting to go to the hearing but not looking forward to it so many people don't believe in my daughters illness/ disability ( she has chronic fatigue syndrome ) she has good days and bad but the more walking etc she does one day the worse she feels the next and I can't work as she is only at school part time and can't be alone for long periods as she also faints but none of that was taken into account. I do think that the dwp hope people will just give up.
