Please can I ask where the rumour came from?

They had one of these with the Scottish sun - didn't they have to buy a fiver of fruit and veg to get a fiver off meat, its somewhere on the discount codes newspaper treat going back about 2 weeks ago ...

    Or I have imagined it

*I believe* (so could be wrong ;) ) it was...
Week 1 : £5 off fruit and veg
    Week 2 : £5 off a £10 spend of meat.

Yes - fiver off when you spend £10 on meat but you don't have to have 10 quids worth of meat ;) Not as lucrative as the veg one - wonder what us up here will get or maybe nothing at all?

Sure we have seen this pic before but what the heck...

I suppose £10 of meat for £5 or £5.40 if you include the cost of the Sun is better than nothing - esp if you have a hungry hoard to feed and your stores never do whoopsie time.

I suppose you could get mince, chicken pieces or stew meat and put the packs into usable sized portions for freezing - good whatever size of your household. MY OH is the main carnivore in our household - I have done him some little casseroles for him but he complains at how miserable it is, a casserole for one person.

Hmmm - if we had know this we would have got at the weekend more stew veg - pots, onions, carrots etc or more Bolognese veg like garlic, toms, onions, broccoli etc :D

Strike here too tomorrow. DS2 isn't affected but DD has to stay off school. Ive got to wonder what impact a strike has this close to the summer holidays? Other than being an annoyance for parents who work, possibly?
Work has pretty much wound down for this year, so there's no real impact on the kids. Badly thought out if you ask me.

Presumably you have strikeday pants on stand by ;)

Good morning! Back from a fortnight's holiday and need to go shopping for fruit etc this morning. Tried a quick catchup and see that I have missed a Curry's voucher and a wonderful Morries fruit and veg bonanza. MSL seems to be telling me that bacon, blackberries and Carver ham are still comparing well. Is this true please? And is there anything else, esp in T? Is Mr T giving out HH vouchers again yet please? Thank you in advance.

Right that's it caught up now - nothing new and exciting on Topcashback clicksnap or Quidco/COS or mys
so only the new cashback things on Shopotize.

So it maybe a low excitement day :)

He's come home with a letter yesterday inviting him on yet another 'rewards' trip. This one is for students who use the special needs dept. And my reward after paying £27 plus £10 for the PVC clad bear! for the last one is.........£20 for this one  They're out to bankrupt me!
At least the pants will get another wearing :D :rotfl:
