Anyone watching BBC breakfast? They just made a little hovercraft from a CD, balloon and one of those sports bottle tops. Something for the kids to keep them occupied in the hols - for all of five mins :rotfl::rotfl:
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Not a great start to the week. Went to take my dd's to school and we have a puncture. There's a bit of metal imbedded in the side of the tyre.

Managed to get a mum to drive back from school to collect my girls for me, and now awaiting the recovery vehicle. Hubby doesn't think I can drive it as the metal is in the side if the tyre. And being a newish car it doesn't have a spare tyre, just a can of foam to inflate it:eek:

Typical that it happened on the decent tyre, as the 2 front ones already need replacing due to wear. It's going to be an expensive day I think :(

DS1 off on his school rewards trip this morning. Thank goodness he's gone! He was fine about the trip because he got plenty of notice. He couldn't get to grips with leaving for school early, it put him in a proper grump........and who was in the firing line?

He decided an argument about underpants was the best way to deal with it :rotfl::rotfl: He has to wear normal clothes and asked if he should wear school underpants or not.
Now I know him well enough to know there was no right answer to the question as he would have an argument ready for whatever I said.
If I said yes......he would say, but I'm not going to school
If I said no.......he would say, but technically it's for school so I should. A no win situation for me.

So I got a new pair of underpants out of the stash of various new bits and pieces Ive got. I told him they were school trip underpants :D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and it was all fine ;)

A nice bit of lateral thinking there FC!

    Good morning:wave:

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I haven't read all weekend so no idea what's happened, been happening:o

I seem to have a problem with my fridge, everytime I open it something tries to jump out and escape:) I don't think it's ever been as full of fresh healthy food...

We made apricot jam on Saturday, I've just had some for breakfast on toast yummy:)

I actually struggled to use all my vouchers.. I left my last one in a trolley with a till spit, hope someone used it:)

Reeds still working as of h/d 8pm last night... Apg checked this morning:)

    Have a lovely day:)
