I bought mixed bags of 300 bands for 99p.
I think it depends what kind you are making, but the ones I've done in the pic don't take that many, there are more complicated ones which you'd need more for.

I bought a set for £5.99 which had the loom, 2 of the hooks, 600 bands and 24 'S' clips in it.

I think there has been some pretty good deals on Amazon and Ebay. I never paid attention before as my DD is only 4 so it had passed us by, until now! So might be worth checking them out :)

    Thanks for that :)
I've been looking on Amazon and have found some glitter ones and glow in the dark (both 85p for 600), and stripey ones (1.49 for 300) which I didn't think was too bad. I just had a sudden worry that maybe they would only make about 10 :o:rotfl:

Sorry I posted before I read of abailys baby news and fernie1's new grandchild.
    congratulations to both of you.

My next quest is for a decent bottle of vodka cheap as want to make some lemoncello. Sun+ sent me a ts giftcard yesterday so ideally like to buy from there but best deal really. I don't want a very cheap own brand though as takes a bit of work and I adore my lemoncello so like a brand name if possible.
Also plan to make banana jam. I have a reciepe I got from this forum during the great glitch when everyone was being imaginative using their fillers. Remember the mushy pea curry anyone?
Then Banana and walnut loaf preferably gluton free.

    V x

What brand of limoncello d you recommend?

We had it after dinner on our last holiday - can't decide wether to have it over ice or just chilled

The Loom bands are sold in Poundland, with a plastic crochet hook and little clear plastic fasteners.
Lots of packet colour selections. Worth a look.
Kids getting fed up with them here been around a bit now.

It's the first I've heard her mention them but crazes tend to take a while to reach down here :rotfl:

Thanks, it seems weird whenever people talk about the range, it doesn't seem that long ago that it was just a local store :o I even worked at the HO for a while
