Could not agree more, the last time I stayed in a travel lodge I vowed never to again, was awful, that was about 4 years ago.
Always pick Premier Inns now usually spotless.
Last one I stayed in was a bit grotty too. Crap nights sleep. I do like premier inns though, lovely big beds usually too

I am bad in hotels anyway
but I thought it was bad.
There was a large unexplained stain on the carpet, the bathroom bin still had the previous guest rubbish in and generally there was a real lack of basic cleanliness. I didn't really sleep
incidentally I had an email from them today asking for feedback, which is answered honestly  if they send me an offer of a free/cheap nights stay, I will be declining!!
I would go for a premier inn if looking for a clean, well furnished budget hotel
I stayed in an Etap once, it was basic (to say the least) but I was very very impressed overall for the price, it was super clean, beds were ok (I've slept in worse in my time - see below) it probably worked out cheaper than staying at home :rotfl:
Worst bed I've ever slept on (and I'm including camping here when I got weed on by a mates boyfriend, eew ) was at best mates brothers house many moons ago when he was at Leeds uni and we joined him and his housemates for a night out :T:T
It was a wooden futon thing - good god almighty it was like sleeping on a bed of nails :eek:0 -
Is it just me, or is Glastonbury really early this year?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

After me saying I wasn't going out tonight, I gave in but failed to get any cleaning products, but pleased I caught the cheap bread and to make you laugh went into B & Q and found a lonely 1p pack of 3 England car fresheners :rotfl:

So not a totally wasted trip then. :rotfl:0 -
