NSC makes absolutely no difference to the bills unless you are a very low user. The absent SC is recovered through the higher unit cost on an NSC tariff.

It is currently not possible to contact SP by phone. That shouldn't be legal! It just says they're busy, please email or call back later then it hangs up!

I hate this company so so so much!

Had a missed call this evening from a number I didn't know - looked it up and turns out it was SP! Wonder if it was a "why are you leaving" call... amazing how hard they are to get in touch with until you try to leave!

I have been with flow energy for a year with no problems. They have even mailed me saying I can stay on another year fix a the same rate I am now if I want rather than what the big 6 would do which is put the price up right away. I've checked the websites and they are still the best deal for me so see no reason to move away to big brand. The big ones have outsourced customer service half the time anyway. It isn't like they are providing a different service so that you get more for spending more either is it.

Yeah it'll be their "win back" team.

They ring every day until they get you, starting the conversation with "Hello, and how are you today!"

I would advise against agreeing to anything over the phone with them. You may find yourself back here in a months time wanting to leave again but only this time you have a early exit fee or some other such nonsense thrown in.

    I didnt even entertain them.
  • Nothing could persuade me to stay with these people. At all. And I will happily tell them so!

Well today I got the email from First asking for my gas reading which will be their opening reading.

Went on my online account and submitted it (something I was unable to for for 2 months when I joined SP!) and found that I could also submit my electricity reading so did that too.

Am no longer able to give readings to SP, so I'm making careful notes of what they were. Currently £60 in credit with them so not too much.

Fingers crossed SP actually get these readings from First and there are no frick-ups!!!!

I've just said on another thread that I escaped the clutches of N Power and moved to First Utility a couple of months ago. Everything was 100% straightforward. I have never changed without some kind of problem before (and I,ve used all the Big Six plus a couple of smaller suppliers) At the end of the move I actually Emailed them to say thanks. Perhaps we are going to get good troubleless service - oh well I'm an optomist!:j
  • Well it continues, today I got emails from First saying they are now supplying my gas and electricity... does this mean I'm now free of SP??

Well no I need to wait for the final bill and see if they try the trick they seem to be pulling on a lot of people at the moment, i.e. estimating final readings higher than they should (they should use the opening readings provided by First, no?). Wouldn't put it past them, bunch of &*%$£.
  • Well I still don't have a final bill from SP. Today I had two letters from them, each containing exactly the same thing, "confirmation of how my complaint will be handled".

I've not raised any complaint, well not since 2013 and that one was closed off, so no idea what this is about, just on hold to them now.

Okay so the call operator says they have no idea why these were sent to me, they don't recognise the complaint reference number on the letters, hehe, good old SP.

Hope the final bill comes soon, I don't like the feeling of still being connected to these people.
