Well I just switched via uSwitch, from Scottish Power to First Utility. Yep, I've read all the comments on here, good and bad, but hey a saving is worth a punt, no? And to be frank their call waiting times can hardly be worse than SP's!!
Currently about £500 in credit with SP too soo looking forward to getting that back (probably going to be a struggle like everything else with them but what can you do!)
So fingers crossed...!!! :money:

Well so far so good, today I got my welcome email from First, and then another with my online account login details... will see if I can actually log in, and if I can then they're already one up on Scottish Power ;-)0

I moved my gas away from Eon to Daligas a year ago as Dali is so much cheaper. Had no problems yet.
My fixed electric tariff runs out soon too, so will go with whoever is cheapest for that also. Already checked Eon and they're going to hit me for nearly a 20% increase, which is not on given green taxes have been reduced and wholesale energy hasn't increased that much since I fixed.
So much for OFGEMs simpler tariffs. It's still a bloomin' mess trying to compare one to another - and the comparisson sites all disagree with each other.0 -
Totally! Never heard of Daligas though!
My comparison sites all put First as the cheapest, though the amounts seemed to vary from £50 to about £150.
Well I've successfuly logged on to my online account, though there's obviously not much there yet. I do like the purple colour scheme though0 -
I too moved to First Utility from EDF 4 weeks ago and so far so good

Hi Andy
Have you tried MSE's Cheap Energy Club? Just to reassure you, we check the details shown on our site every week to ensure that they are correct. Where we spot differences between our results and other comparison sites we recheck our results with the suppliers to make sure that we're 100% accurate.

I signed up when it first started, but the results weren't good - and from memory, nearly everyone was getting recommended the same supplier, even though they weren't cheapest.
I will give it another look as my fixed term with Eon comes to an end shortly.0 -
Hi Andy - that sounds strange...our results definitely show all available tariffs, so worth taking a look if you are looking to switch.0

I've had the emails from First saying that the cooling off period is now up, so that's it, I'm definitely going through with this!0

Good luck with that Martin. I've just had my quarterly bills from Ebico, after leaving Brit Gas in January. I'm mighty chuffed. I know we are in the summer months, but I don't expect my bills to increase significantly through the winter, because I am a tight wad when it comes to switching things on. No standing charge and no excess for paying quarterly. Suits me.
IlonaI love skip diving.0
