It might be advised and I frequently do when I'm going abroad, though that doesn't always work with certain banks.

Considered using one of the 'certain' banks that it does work with?

I have banked on-line with Nationwide and Santander for years and more recently business banked with Barclays and never had this issue.

Any problems I have had have generally been self inflicted - pin numbers, etc - or systems being down for maintenance.

I don't know what your poll is trying to achieve - statistically it means nothing unless you know numbers of customers.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

My vote would be for Tesco Bank (except its not on the list); they don't like you clearing your cookies.
