Job Centre's Silly WF Interview

friend of mine had finally attended one of these silly interviews set by the DWP an activity in wasteful bureaucracy and lunacy. She was told she does not have to attend any further work focused interviews unless the circumstances changed.

In any case I found something interesting while looking into PiP:

(It's by a law student)

Great resource for me personally as I am looking to shift my friend from ESA to PiP. As I feel he meets the disability requirement, with the issue with his bowls.

Further resources I have been reading, those of legal interest:

From ESA to PIP...they are totally different awards!
ESA is awarded too people to ill to work or in certain circumstances with permitted work.
PIP can be claimed by someone with a disability in or out of work.

EDIT: Not everyone thinks these WFI are wasteful etc, some find them useful and a perfect opportunity to discuss getting back into work.

Why are you looking at moving someone from ESA to PIP? ESA is paid to those who can't work and PIP is paid to those who have care and /or mobility needs

In what way are these claimants your clients? It is pretty clear you haven't got the faintest idea what you are talking about.

None of this is aimed at the OP, it's regarding the link!!

Sorry OP but i find the author of that link you provided a little condecending...she/he believes PIP regulations are above and beyond 'the normal lay person' and better suited to someone with 'formal legal training'..lol. I'm sorry but i find the knowledge and experience portrayed on MSE superior to any other i have sought and this forum would be my recommended first port of call.
I'm also a 'just fill it in and make things easier for your self' kinda of gal and don't feel the need to produce a power point presentation each time i apply for something.

He requires care and mobility, due to his problems with his bowls which is affecting his mental health. So I have been looking into PiP to understand that he effectively fits into PiP or not. He has overlapping mental and physical problems.

They are clients in the sense, they are asking me for help. I should have just said friends or something to remove the confusion. They ask me for advice and I provide it to them if it is within my remit.

I think the issue is the bureaucratic process he is addressing, which I actually agree with him on. I think you do need some kind of legal knowledge to understand what you're legally obliged to do and what isn't legally required of you, which at times can be difficult to spot. This is why a lot of claims/assessments at courts get overturned, because the courts will not have it.

I like the powerpoint presentation it removes any ambiguity.

He/She actually makes a very important point when he/she says:

My assessor commented that it was far more useful to receive a nicely laid out printed document than a poorly structured handwritten form of dubious legibility.

Why don't you help me? and provide me with some information? Where do you think I am going wrong, although I am going to be referring my friend to the CAB with regards to PiP, but I would like to get your take on it though.

We have pointed out ESA and PIP are totally different benefits..
They are not linked in anyway....he could be on both at the same time.
