Urgh, the 'new design' is horrid. I find it such a drag looking through: it seems more difficult to look through somehow.

It reminds me of when ivillage changed and went all weird; it really put me off. I, and many others stopped using it. I found it hard to navigate too.

And why is it the old version when you're logged in?

What's the point?

Why do things change? This happened to Google maps too, and I HATE it! :mad:

I don't like it either. Far too white and it's more complicated than the old one...even though it's meant to be more simple. No need for it. As another user said. It wasn't broke so don't fix it.

you know you can change google maps back to the old version? bottom right of the screen, click the question mark and 'return to classic google maps'

I really dislike the new design, just sent an email as they're asking for feedback. I'm finding it harder to see, despite all the extra white space - it makes the pages look more like one big document, rather than individual forums/topics/threads.

Fingers crossed it won't be here to stay.

It's awful, and significantly slower on my tablet/phone browsers than the old look. I guess they just don't like the increased amount of JavaScript that's probably backing it all up.

The new look is known as "flat" design and is the latest fad/curse in a long line of "improvements" foisted on IT users.
"Flat" is harder to navigate as there is no contrast. Different areas should have different colours.
Clickable areas are unclear. Buttons should be shaded or bevelled to distinguish them.
The "old" UI makes it easier to distinguish posts.

I'm already aware that I fail to revisit websites that have gone "flat" - and from many forum posts, I'm not alone.

Lastly, beware of new unidentifiable monotone icons. (e.g. Adobe Reader, Firefox....)

OMG thank golly ive seen this post the new design is absolutely horrendous, its easily the worst formatted design ive seen in a long time.
I was thinking if this is how its gonna be then id have to use a different site to comp from.
But luckily thanks to users saying its normal once logged, now back on the perfect orginal design.
(whoever designed the new style needs a right good telling off)
