You check it's contents by weighing it.
There should be the empty cylinder weight stamped somewhere either on the cylinder or a metal collar. You take the cylinder weight away from the actual measured weight and it will give you some idea of how much is left.
Alternative swish the cylinder around to see if there's any left in it. Most dealers will take their own empty cylinders back, replace them with a full one or you can take it to your local recycling centre. I've never had any trouble taking really old ones back, even those I had on the boat which grew quite a lot of rust on them due to the salty environment. Most suppliers will test and clean them after 10 years anyway.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Yes - I recall the conversation about "I should charge you £XX but, go on, I'll make it £YY". The problem is - I can't remember what XX or YY was.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0
