Living Social iPad deal - help

A couple of weeks ago, Martin MSE's email shared an offer on Living Social - iPad for £329. I ended up buying the voucher and the voucher stated that I needed to do nothing more and that my item will be posted within 10 working days.
I even emailed Livingsocial at the time to clarify, I did not need to do anything else and they confirmed that I need to just allow 10 working days for delivery.
Today it is exactly 10 working days and the iPad has not turned up.
I called up LS today and they said I needed to allow a full 10 working days, I.e. they will not entertain my query until tomorrow (despite My post arriving and me explaining it's unlikely now!); they said they'll speak to the merchant after tomorrow and come back to me within 7 days.
I just want a refund now as I'm not hanging about another 7 days.
Has anyone had any similar situations with LS? Any advice you can share?
Thanks

Be patient? One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Thanks for your input; however, you'll note that I've asked for experiences and what to expect so I can be prepared!!!!0

Ok. If this is an offer from the MSE newsletter, then it's quite likely that the company will be inundated with requests.
You have decided that once the time is up to the second, that you will request a refund. This shows that you are impatient, and therefore I don't think you will be happy with the responses.
Your problem is that LS is a 3rd party. You have bought a voucher from them, and as long as that voucher is valid, there is little you can do.
Best bet is be patient. You will find that it would take longer for a refund to reach you than the iPad.One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Having not dealt with LS before, I wasn't aware if requesting a refund was the easiest method. In the past, when dealing with Groupon, it was easier just to get the refund. However, in this case, 7 day investigation process seems lengthy so if their refund process was quicker, I'd sooner miss their deal and take my money back.
I'm relocating abroad in 4 weeks and the quickest option to resolution is obviously the desired one.0 -
I've had exactly the same problem. I've waited the 10 working days as requested by LS. I've emailed LS today to ask for a refund as I'm now out of the UK for 4 weeks. I only went for it because it was on MSE. Wish I'd paid the extra fiver and used Amazon.0

Was it seriously only that much of a difference? £5?0

It's all about the money saving isn't it?0

Hi
I have also had the same experience. Been waiting more than 10 days for the ipad.
Living social give speedy replies but are no help.
Have asked them about a refund as they appear to be readily available on Amazon.0 -

Sure. But not buying from a respected retailer just to save 1.5%?0 -
Hi I have had the same happened to me. I called LS yesterday and was asked to wait until Friday, (total of 16 working days) to allow for possible delays with postage. If its not here by Friday a refund request will be sorted.0
