Hi I did all of the above that is e
Sent my letter via e mail as they recommended to Vinci parking telling them I was the driver etc and they have sent keeper of the vehicle the response which was you are the registered keeper blah blah blah , they have completely ignored my letter. Doni go staright to POPLA or does my nephew now have to re tell them that I was the driver?

he should name you as the driver, to get a pcn in your own name (if there was no windscreen ticket)
you cannot go to popla until vinci give you a popla code
you were also advised to complain to the landowner and get the charge cancelled, doesnt look like you have done this crucial step0 -
So you are saying you wrote an appeal by email and they ignored it? Did the PCN actually say you could definitely appeal by email and did you give a name and your POSTAL address? You should have done, if not then that's why they've not acted on the appeal by email, which needed a name and address on it.
Hmmm I would in fact send the same template appeal but this time from the keeper with HIS address on it! Start again but this time in his name as he still has a right of appeal whereas you as driver may have missed the boat if you didn't send an email with enough info on it.
DO NOT resend the email. I feel his position is stronger.
Just start again, same template letter (DO NOT CHANGE OR ADD TO IT) but with nephew's name and address on, and starting 'I am the keeper' just as shown in the NEWBIES thread.
There was a windscreen ticket so don't do this! Don't let him name you as the driver now, just do the appeal in his name instead.he should name you as the driver, to get a pcn in your own name (if there was no windscreen ticket)PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, interestingly, one of my colleagues received NTK same day,she had also put all details on her letter and complained to the hospital.
Still received the notification.
This feels very scary,! Don't want to end up with huge fine. . I will do the letter again. Some of the letters on here are so brilliant with so much detail etc should I include more or just keep it simple. Thanks again
Oh and does it matter that I am the one with the permit not him?0 -
Hmm always read the small print eh , just read back of ticket again and although they invite you to e mail appeal apparently they only issue a POPLA code if they receive letter in writing. I will have to see if colleague sent letter or e mail. Thanks0

one month ago you wrote you were sending a letter, which would have been the correct thing to do and is what we all thought you had done. shame it didnt happen or you would now have a pcn in your own name and be moving forward to popla
I also see you still have not mentioned writing letters to the trust or to the landowner (if different)
this lack of letter writing to the various people involved is also what tends to backfire on people and it seems silly to me when they are the ones you are paying good money to for the permits, Nobody mentioned emailing vinci or the trust
as there was a windscreen notice, I would agree with the coupon-mad that the RK needs to be sending A LETTER by post with free certificate of posting from the post office, and you should be doing something similar with the trust
its missing the basics and not reading the small print that is tripping you up here despite a month having passed by !0 -
It's not that scary and can't result in a HUGE 'fine'! Vinci are a private firm who cannot legally fine anyone!
Do the template letter again (the one from the NEWBIES thread) but sent in his name in response to the letter he has received, not mentioning anything else. It doesn't matter who has the permit - the point is they've written to him as KEEPER so he just replies, appealing as KEEPER (never mind the permit!). No need to change any wording of the template - he should just send it and the point is to get a POPLA code.I will do the letter again. Some of the letters on here are so brilliant with so much detail etc should I include more or just keep it simple. Thanks again

Hi redx thanks , wasn't sure what you meant about no-one told you to write to Vinci , but looking back that is exactly what I was told to do as the driver . You guys are obviously experts at this , this is the first time I have ever had to challenge anything. I agree it must get very tedious for you to keep repeating the same things over and over but surely that is why you are on this site . Will take on board your advice thanks0

Thanks , I have now got one very irate nephew who is going to give them my name as he feels this is all hanging on his address etc etc . He wants nothing to do with it so may just have to give in although every bone in my body is against it . Thanks for the help0

I believe I said nobody told you to email vinci !
you said you were writing to them , which is copy and paste the template letter, print , squiggle , put into an envelope , go to post office and send it with free proof of postage
I just think people have forgotten how to write letters nowadays , which is what you should have done
the same should have been done with the trust too
hope it works out0
