Virgin Mobile raised my tarrif mid contract.
This morning I received a letter from Virgin telling me of "Important changes to your Virgin Media tariff". It goes on to say "From 22nd July 2014 your monthly mobile tariff price will go up by 2.5%, with the change appearing on the first bill after that.
When I took out this contract for my daughters first mobile, I asked the man in the Virgin Mobile store in Sutton if they tariff will remain the same, given that they were locking me into a 24 month contract. He told me that "What you see now will be what you pay for the entire term of the contract". So needless to say, this came of some shock to me.
I started the contract in September 2013, I am led to believe that some law changes have occurred since then.
Is there any thing I can do about it, or, is it like I strongly suspect..... They have me over a barrel.
Thanks for you help in advance.

It's not a big price to pay for a valuable lesson: never believe a word any salesperson tells you. Demand everything in writing and check the small (and big) print yourself.0
