Ending fixed contract early.

I have a Virgin Mobile fixed contract due to expire November this year.

VM have advised of a 2.5%, the current RPI for April, increase from July 22. If May RPI (due out 17/6) is less can I cancel without penalty?

If this is the case will I be required to return my phone?

Cheers

I don't know what the T&C actually say, but generally the increase in price has to be lower than the latest RPI at the time of the announcement.

IIRC, a year ago T-mobile failed to send e-mails on time and many customers received them when the next, lower, RPI was annownced: T-Mobile users attempt to escape price hike

    If you could, you wouldn't.

Hmm, I thought it may be a bit of a long shot, but before I give up I'll check VM's T&C's.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
