Just had a call from DD2 saying that she'd finally receieved a text message from her dad. He hasn't bothered with her for over 3 months, and no maintenance money for the same time. She's phoned and text but he doesn't answer. She said she'd phoned him 18 times today and he finally replied, still won't answer the phone to her. He says he has no money. She's going mad as he only drove past her the other day in his flash @udi car, didn't even acknowledged her, so she's text him asking how come he can afford to drive it and go to visit her brother (45min trip each way), take him out and pay his mother if he has no money.
I'm letting her get on with it even though he will blame me

DW on again, WM filters cleaned. Going to drizzle some icing on my cake now . . .

sort of joined you in your 2 HHCs pigpen, i did a yomp into the next town to pick DS2s photos up to proove he did a caving day this year, so my pedometer has 7922 steps on it. trouble is lovely guy in boots said i will give you a reduction on the photos as not many came out, ive got 5 of the 36 and they are in the carpack after, and only 1 has DS on it but at least he looks miserable and muddy enough to have convincingly been dragged through a hole backwards. nipped in mils on way back, se went cinema this morning while idid her cleaning and tiold me she forgot to sayshe wanted the beds swapping over, she still has two beds in her room and puts winter duvet on one and summer on the other so wanted the summer one in the sleeping position. LOL would be easier to just swap the bedding but kept her happy. i did take the duvet out for a good shake and will probs hang it on the line while im cleaning next week to air it.

got to feed hungry boys now and get ready for tonight concert, so 'see' you later.

House cleaned throughout "indoors", i.e. LR, DR, kitchen, HSL, all bedrooms, bathroom, but not utility or DH's man-cave (aka garage).
WMx3 on line - very still today but warm, especially since the sun pushed the clouds out of the way this afternoon,so I hope it's all drying as I need to pack this evening.
DGS1's birthday present ordered, to be delivered direct to their address.
    5 important phonecalls made.
4 long and complicated emails written.
    Didn't get to U3A Genealogy group :(
DH sent into town to buy greetings cards blanks and paracetamol

Still haven't planted out my poor little perennials, and we're out this evening... Maybe first thing tomorrow - our neighbours are going off to the airport at 4.00 am so I will probably hear them and get up with the sun.

i'd want to go to the bottom of my garden and shout a really bad word loudly but live within earshot of the primary i work at so best not. think ill hit the cross stitch later instead

If you do yours, I'll do mine. The neighbour that upset me mightily a couple of days ago deserves a real mouthful.
I have JUST heard about flylady on another thread and am intrigued. My attention span when it comes to cleaning/ tidying/ sorting is mayfly like! I think this could be for me!

Welcome! Without this thread I wouldn't know where to start.

Hhnap had. I'm going to be a great aunt in December so have to act my age x

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Love it! Huge congratulations.

By 9.30 this morning I'd done the bathroom and was feeling pretty good. OH made me a slice of toast for breakfast and as we were chomping, Logdger 1 came upstairs to say he'd just spilt the dregs of a glass of red wine OVER THE CARPET I WASHED LAST WEEK! I had a feeling something like that would probably happen - $ods law and all that. Fortunately, because I had cracked out the bi$$e1 last week it wasn't a long drawn out job dealing with it, but I could SO have done without it. Do gay men realise they need to provide flowers and/or chocs in these circumstances?

With the rest of the tank I'm going to have a go at the stairs that need it and it's the first time I've not used all the tank in one go, so it'll be interesting to see how well it works when the water's cooled down. I did the worst patch last week, and Mrs Dog's just thrown up on a bit next to it, so that'll be sorted at the same time and then I can compare the two. Top layer and stairs dysoned.

Dentist appointment decluttered and I visited the garden centre visited for potting compost on the way back. They were having a seasonal clearance sale, so we've now got two more roses, two more clematis, seven more geraniums, three yellow-flowering plants I've never heard of, but at 10p for all three what have we got to lose, and some further whoopsied parsley plug-type trays that I was intending to pay full price for. Excellent. Gammon bought for tomorrow's world cup party is simmering away in cider and I'll finish it off in the oven later.
    Better is good enough.

Work is finished for the week :T kids have been in bath now just having supper. Poor DS crashed into his pal and his knees are a mess and a bumped head. Bath time wasn't happy :(

Will be interesting to see my boss' face when I tell him summer club is cancelled :( gosh I hope the grannies are up for a summer of fun... Work is just going to need to be flexible during August... I suppose I could ask their old private nursery if they've room...

    Yikes!

:T:T:T:T Brilliant news, Skinty! - very pleased for you.

My apologies, ShirePiskie - I meant to welcome you in my last post and got distracted by DH returning home. If you're looking for some friendly faces, you've come to the right place.

Honey Bear, enjoy your roast *armadillo* tonight. Are you offering a choice between that and roast beef?

Dancemum, I became a great-aunt at 18. I sometimes think I'm still that age, but more often recently I've been feeling like 80 - don't know which is worse!

Must bring in the washing while the potatoes cook. Reheated chilli con carne should be nice and spicy :D
