    Hi

Sorry been MIA just finding life getting on top of me :(

Over the past few weeks have had a few days off work, been on an overnight spa stay which was amazing, had a night out at an adult panto where lots of drink was consumed, had my birthday, had a week off my 2nd job but spent the hours I would have spent in shop working overtime at my main job and basically just working or lying on the couch watching NCIS from series one.

Am still struggling to get to grips with YNAB set up a petrol budget, grocery challenge one and still have my normal household expenses one to try and figure out.... Not doing too well with it at all. Normally I know exactly what's going where and when but am getting confused with how much money I actually have left... I have loads in my account but none of it where it's supposed to be :o

Will need to make that a priority before the weekend and the 1st of the month to be sure I have enough for the mortgage.

Need to update my grocery challenge spends and petrol spends but need to find receipts for that and I can't be bothered looking for them.

I have no available energy when I come home from work am tired all the time. Work is causing me problems at the moment the job is fine but people around me are severely annoying me so much so I keep snapping and feel angry all of the time.... Usually I get annoyed at things but eventually it doesn't bother me but I find I'm basically in a huff from the minute I set foot in my office till I leave at night

I hate feeling like this and know I shouldn't let silly things that aren't my problem get to me but why should I be working hard when other people can sit and play on Facebook most of the day and just basically socialise when there is loads of work to do ooooh can feel myself getting annoyed again.

Sorry for the rant but it's all I can think about at the moment...having a few woe is me kind of days.

I ventured back to slimming world at the weekend and no idea how I managed it but eating like a pig for 2 weeks got me no excess weight and I stayed the same :j which is the best result I can hope for. I've been good this week and stuck to the plan 100% I have used more syns than I normally would have but have stuck to what I'm allowed so hoping to lose some weight on Saturday when I go.

I bought a itison deal for a local hotel for a burger and drink deal for 2 for £9 so have booked that for Saturday afternoon as my after weigh in treat :D hopefully I will have something to celebrate ;)

We have booked our holiday for the summer to go to scarborough again with my mum and dad. We went last year and we paid for everything so this year my dad said he would pay. I owed him money that he had lent me for my business so that money will be used to pay for the holiday. Which means neither of us is out if pocket as mum said he didn't want it back but I feel happier knowing it's being used for something they get the benefit out of cause they don't have the extra money to do these things. We have also booked 3 night in York prior to the holiday starting in scarborough so I'm really looking forward to seeing york in all the years we've holidayed in scarborough I've never been.

I was given quite a bit of money for my birthday which I was given instructions to spend it on me and not bills so I had a look at things that we could do in scarborough and Elaine Paige is giving a concert at the open air theatre when we are there so I bought tickets for me and my mum. I'm not her biggest fan but I do like quite a few of her songs and she's performing with an orchestra so think that will sound great outside.

This year I'd rather go and have experiences instead of stuff to clutter up my house so as long as it's not going to cost too much am going to give living life a bit of a try instead of working all the time.

I worked my last shift doing my third job on Monday so will still have two hours wages to get from there at the end of February but am not going to miss it. I had to leave main job early to get in and do it before I started work in the shop so am going to have more time either at home or at work.

Overtime at main job looks to be ongoing until end of March so am hoping to work at least 2 hours during the week and will try for 6 hours every Sunday I can as that's double time. It gets me so much more money than my 2nd job but it's not always guaranteed so need to take advantage when I can ;)

I have an extra 7 hours to get in next months wage 2 at single time and 5 at time and a half which I have worked out to be £70 after tax so that should go a way to paying something.

I have renewed my car insurance this week couldn't get it cheaper anywhere even through all the cashback sites paid £216 but had £350 saved for it so got £134 left over which means I won't need to put as much away each week for that. Am thinking £15 a month should cover it which would give me over £300 for next year I'd rather over save than not have enough.

Sorry for writing a small novel it was only going to be a five min update so if you have read this far :T:T:T I applaud you :rotfl:

Will try to update more regularly and without as much ranting but am making no promises :p

Hi BB, you've been busy, sorry to hear that work is peeing you off. The grouchiness might be partly to do with this time of year and the nasty weather as well.

Well done on staying the same weight. :T Good idea on the experiences rather than stuff & great that you have your holiday to look forward to.

    Hey

Still trying to get to grips with things work is proving to cause me a lot of upset and stress this week so am glad it's over. Although I am due to go in on Sunday for overtime and it is double time so am going to do it it's only 6 hours out of my life and just need to think of the money.

Been trying to sort out money before end of month I have £50 left in the shopping budget but still have to get food for next week so still some spending to do there. The petrol budget has £80 odds left in it will need to get accurate figure but filled the car up today so £120 for the month is brilliant considering I've been loads more than that in the past. Not sure what to do with it at the moment. Am thinking about putting it away towards car insurance which would save me having to put money away for that every month but not sure yet. Might put £50 away for that and the other £30 towards my debt.

YNAB says I have more left than I actually do which may take some figuring out to get it right... Not sure it's the best money I've spent but will persevere with it.

Kind of feel I've cheated a bit with the grocery challenge I bought 10 bottles of pepsi max and 9 bottles of diet irn bru tonight to stock me up for February :o I hate running out of stuff so much so I think I'm very much a food hoarder as well as a certified hoarder of anything :o

Going to head to bed now up early for slimming world weigh in tomorrow.... please have let me loose something this week as I've actually stuck 100% to the plan  so not like me

Hi BB, sorry to hear work is still causing stress but agree with your thinking behind going in on Sunday, well worth it for double time.

I think with the spare money using some of it towards paying off the debt would be a good idea, every payment makes a difference.

I'm still messing about with YNAB to find the best way to use it for our circumstances. I like it overall but need to look at my categories, I think I have some that are overlapping etc.

    Hey

Well I can't believe I've not been on here for a month :eek:that's shocking. Things are going ok. Still not gambling not really doing anything except working and when I'm not working I'm lying on the couch watching NCIS :o

Things have been ok this month went over budget on petrol by £0.38 so not too much my hubby has been going to visit his parents one night a week so that's been extra and we've also had a trip to the shops at braehead that wasn't accounted for so all in all not too bad.

Grocery challenge went well this month came in under budget with £51.04 left to spend :T so I put the odd money into my savings tin nd paid an extra £50 to the credit cards.

Total debt outstanding is now £15250.00 with a debt free date of October 2017 so it's coming down :)

Doing ok on the weight loss front since November I've now lost 18.5 lbs :j and I feel much better for it. Only 5 more to go till I hit my target.

I've decided to keep my wee business going and have ordered myself a candy cart to try and bring in more business from weddings and parties. It's being delivered next Saturday and I can't wait :j

Supposed to be spending the weekend decluttering but am not getting anywhere fast unless eating lots counts....well I did get weighed this morning :o

Will try and post more regularly hoping to get my budget done before I head to bed

Well so much for my decluttering I've hardly done anything today except a few washings and put a few items on our local Facebook selling page.

I just can't get motivated :( so not making any headway...

Will need to try and get something done before my other half comes home

Well I've decided after getting rid of one bin bag of rubbish and one bag of recycling I've done enough for today! The last of the washing is on and dinner is in oven so although I didn't accomplish everything I wanted I have made some progress and can see a difference already so that's got to be good. The rest of the night will be spent watching NCIS and relaxing :)

Good luck with the popcorn ;)

Good to "see" you again BB :hello:

Sounds like you're doing well with the budget and getting the debt down :T Well done on the weight loss as well.

Glad you made some progress with the decluttering, it does help just doing a bit at a time. I've been doing one drawer or cupboard at a time - it doesn't take too long but you still feel like you've done something. :)

Well I've been away on a training course all week in a different office and I enjoyed every minute. I'm really not looking forward to going back to proper work tomorrow :(

Nothing much happening on the money front or decluttering front am full of good intentions but spent the weekend lying on my backside eating rubbish and watching TV.

Put on half a pound this week but as I was at training all week and having scones for breakfast at least I know why.

Have undone most of my diet this weekend eating the biggest lot of chocolate and crisps I've had in ages but my hubby had a day out on Saturday and I was tempted to gamble but instead kept my hands busy stuffing my face and playing candy crush so I didn't....

Will get back on the diet wagon in the morning.... Hoping to be able to report something good later in the week
