Terrestrial's digital now, so can still have a new channel for sport and comply with that law.

In fact, BBC Sport, ITV Sport et al could have their own digital terrestrial channels and move all their sports output to those.

I'm not really interested in the football, but what does annoy me is being unable to move for people moaning about it.


It's lovely weather, go outside instead of flicking between TV channels for things you don't like!

Not everyone likes soap operas, reality celebrity shows or talent contests either, what do those people do? Oh I know they don't watch them or pay any attention to the relentless talk about them.

Why should people have to do that just for some stupid sporting event? TV at the moment is rubbish with repeats. You want to make people go out walking for hours just to avoid it? Why should people have to go to bed early if they don't want to.

The thing that really Pees me off. Is the news will be England England chances, lost, win, oh one of the team farted. Will be the headline news on the TV. Makes no difference if wars breakout, hundreds killed that day. No the main news stories will be England and football.:mad:

Unlike drossy soap operas, it's only for a couple of weeks, every four years, and there are plenty of other channels!
