You me dear also make some really good points.
I'm not sure what I'd feel about the commute and I did think about it before I applied TRG likes his commute home like you say it switches his noggin off.
Me, loved it when I did my MSc driving over that bonnie bridge every morning but I knew it was only for 3 - 10 week terms.........
I do have an idea or two about perhaps a garden business and balancing that with writing/teaching. So you're on the nail there lady.
I so want to give something back to the community too.....
ponders and thanks!

How about 'The Lawn Ranger' or
'You grow it I mow it' ?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -
Pips - now that you are on the mainland, not doing doctoral research, have a permanent base, and probably - most importantly - your own shed, is there no reason for the Peedie Seedie Company to be resurrected? Particularly if it catered for 'difficult climatic growing conditions' alongside everything else?
'Tis the right time of year to get this off the ground.........

:rotfl::D:rotfl: if only I did 'grass'its the only gardening task I'm (sorry) I won't do [publically]. There are a plenty who will mow, I'm afraid I just don't. My hatred of the mono-culture green stuff is just shocking and probably to my detriment - but its a great idea.
Great name though.
Although of course I would mow for older folks if they weren't able.
I'm not mean.

Greying
Have been thinking similar and a kind of 'plant sitting' service in the summer months when folks are away balance out the work and my horror at being in a garden with the owners when working. I'm quite shy, maybe I can do ninja gardening.
TM The Peedie Flower Dr.
(you saw it first here right)
If I'm utterly honest I floated this 'Peedie Seed/Plant Co' idea with a web designer colleague who told me that the name might be misconstrued SIZE="1"]which I totally couldn't say I agreed with but they were vehement and actually did talk me out of it to create a website for me with that name[/SIZE
And you're right I do have me own shed. Just a lack of believing in self tokens.

Hello, just popping in and flinging a few self-belief tokens in your direction. Heard something a while ago about how if you wait until you're in the absolutely perfect mindset to do something, until you feel confident and ready, you might wait forever. Whereas if you just start doing it, that's what actually eventually gets you into the mindset... kind of fake it till you make it. Suddenly you find yourself doing the thing and realising that you actually kinda do know what you're doing
Liking the wise words from TRG and DS too
Hope you're all well including the mutts and chickens xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I love both these :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: so funny!!
Pippi Didn't you start looking into selling plants online? Would that be an idea like Greying has suggested.
Also to echo what redsquirrel said....I'll whisper so no one overhears.......in my current job I didn't actually have a clue what I was doing. Basically made it up as I went along. 18 months later people assume I've been doing it for years and ask for advice and all kinds of stuff. People try giving me more responsibility as they think I know what I'm doing :rotfl:
So definitely fake it til you make it

Chores then library to hunt for a book or two and the dummies guide to faking it.
You're a lovely bunch. Red lovely to see you.
Starnac, you're a wise woman and I love both those names too! Elidee are you a slogan guru/PR guru in RL
Both DS and TRG cracked up when I said both those names too. DS wants a mower now. LOL! Sitting on a mower hoovering up lawns doesn't sound like a bad life. Elidee its in the mix
Right coffee, banks, etc
DS did the dishwasher before he left. Both chaps have their 'pieces' and have vamoosed leaving just us dogs and chooks which are both, sleepy but happy Red thanks for asking.
Nae eggs again. What's with these lasses they've stopped putting out.
The solo hen (still solo) is putting on a grand show of tail feathers. Must upload a pic.
Coffee's a brewing.
And, having been shoddy at the NSD's I may attempt one today. Thus far I've not bagged any.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
