  • Hey there woop woop for all the chilli chat. :)

    Made me smile today.

Well I'm home and started work again this week not too full on but enough to make my head spin.

New shopping month began and the spends so far you'll be pleased to hear are £3.14 (discount store, noodles, smkd sausage and some juice)

    Petrol in car today £22

Expensed day/miles and lunch. Must write an invoice soon too, lost three weeks garden work but sometimes health comes first eh.

Today's great money saving accomplishments were

Picked up some free tomato plants
Hosted work colleague, made a lovely deli-meat profit from a gift she brought
Free lunch and some flapjacks taken home frozen for Mr me for lunches
Some free bread for the chooks too.

Three eggs for us and Trog I'm ashamed to say not a seed sown, although I've inherited 18 chilli plants and a cucumber.

Nice to be back online. Been a wee while and I've missed you all.

    xx

I put £314.22 on CC when on holiday. Two ski passes and some grub.

Whilst the spends aren't budgeted for and aren't paid for yet, it was worth going. DH paid for all the other bits of the trip (travel/car/accommodation). We needed to get away and its helped hugely to get our heads together.

So I've come off lightly really.

I've paid £50 towards it, so that's a start and it will be a tight month here with no extra wages but we've plenty grub in so a meal plan/shopping lean month is upon us.

    :)

Meals we can make from freezer and stores.....

    soup/bread/cheese/meats (lots of combo's there)
    omlettes/etc eggy stuff
    billions of potatoes.......
reduced spag bog HM cooked x 8 portions
Half a kilo reduced mince in freezer uncooked
Pasta with sausage and sauce x 2
    Turkey mince meatballs with flatbreads/rice x 2
Pasta with reduced smoked salmon and tomatoes x 2 portions
    Noodles and dumpling soup
    Rissotto (ham/cheese)
    Wedges and HM pizza?
    Stew cooked - 4 portions
    fajhitas and HM flatbreads

We def won't starve. :) And it was worth it to get away for a bit. Just time for a bit of belts in.

    WRITE invoice tomorrow for work.
Called work about starting again on sun (left message) must chase up.
Look at Martins bank charges stuff as have lots there to claim back
    Sow some seeds!!

The time out with OH sounds good, nice to see you back again though.

Snowdrops arrived safely, half planted and half heeled in, have 5 days to get them planted, also some Foxglove pants and some Primulas before we embark on our 25 day trip to your wonderful country (OH looking at maps and motorway stuff as I write). First day Shropshire to Kendal, 2nd Kendal to Loch Lomond, since I haven't done any towing for years I will have to navigate, hoping I don't end up taking us into Glasgow:eek::eek:

Hello again and glad you had a good break, sounds as though it was needed. It's been quiet around here though without you.

Now a little bird whispered something about it being your birthday?

Hope you have a wonderful day and since I know you don't like cake, hope you have plenty of cheese

Why can I never add any of the smiley face things? Wishing you lots of happy times anyway.
