Must be nice to have DS home
It is and they (the boys) are off skiing today so I've a day of rest and quiet house. Funny how they come home and explode everywhere isnt it and I can't ever find the butter (on his desk, with the crackers, where else!)
Hope you're little ones are good!
:Atroglodyte wrote: »We had torrential rain here last night, today was mostly better but for a couple of sudden, really heavy showers. And it's much colder again, we've had frost the last few mornings.
Hope you're feeling a bit more perky Pippi and enjoying time with DS and Hubs.
KC I hope you have managed to shake off the lurgy too.
I feel mostly better but my head seems to be full of slime.
I have managed to offload a couple of bulky items via the bay of E so a wee bit of progress there
Also planted a few types of chilli seeds. They are currently in the propagator so at 18 degrees they are warmer than the rest of the house, might get in there myself!
I might get in with them too. We had rain (and hello by the way) too but I think to be honest we needed a deluge.
Good for you on the sales and hope the tiddlers are good

DD planted some sunflower seeds the other day and they have popped their heads up already.
Enjoy the holidays.

So I've been bad today.
A day at home, boys are away so I went back to bed at 6am when I waved them off and slept til 9am.
Since then I've been pottering in the garden and doing a few chores
inside before I opened up my laptop [time sucking device].
I'm fed and watered and need to do a bit of work, but not too much. Doors open and spring is springing away.
Must do banks/usual stuff.
What exciting plans for the weekend, I might be varnishing floors. I know you're so jealous.
Solicitors came back with a valuation on the flat of just under 90K
Got another one coming this week.
Soon it will be on the market.
Hooray.
However, I must confess that I rather ashamedly took leaves from the oregano (baby) in the garden to make the spag bog (on the wood stove with free wood from the garden in it). The plant is really too little to harvest but I told it I was giving it a bit of a delicate prune.
Bad pippi.

Another 20.57 in petrol yesterday.
But today thankfully is a NDD and a NSD.
Not that I bought anything but butter yesterday and two sets reduced bacon (1.05) and a chook (£2.15) and some sausages (1.03) and a block of cheese for the monster who eats it all with the butter.
£6.50
I have a butter thief in my midst.
£200 to CC
And I got paid - yay.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Spends update.
80.78 petrol - 6 non driving days, not great and I'm sure I'll use up the last 20 before Wed.
£169.17 food spends. This has really started to creep up and up with extras for lunches and wee treats.
Wages this month seem to be not bad.
Womble job is fine til end of June (1 day a week)
Garden seems to be settled at 22 hours a week, not sure when or if that has a time limit, its very ad hoc.
Sent an email about a community growing job in nearby town 3-4 days week, £100/day ad hoc, so think I will apply.
Its only seasonal, but its likely to be interesting, although I don't want to work 4 days on top of the other jobs, maybe will need to think about that if we get to that stage.
doesn't hurt to apply right?
So budget is still shonky, but not bad. Garden isn't yeilding much aside eggs and a few herbs. (well done girls)

The only thing to know about rosemary is that it hates to be wet and soggy. So if its struggling why not think about repotting it with lots of grit and making sure its just a bit damp, not wet. Its got a crazy fiberous root system which doesn't like being soggy and can tolerate extremely dry conditions like those found at the seaside and on sand dunes/cliffs where it orginates.
I might be wrong but if its too wet it might not be happy. Mind on I don't know about how much its scared of heights!
