Good milk savings there! :money:
Sprinkling of snow here tooBad night all round though so I'm in favour of going back to bed rather than working... Going to be a 'get as little done as you can get away with' type of day today I think...

Hugs for the lurgy KC and take time for you too. I sat yesterday for an hour looking for jobs and drinking a cuppa - that was my down timeHoping I've beaten it this time.
Phoned for a p/t job locally min wage but 4 miles away between 16-24 hours, not gardening ironically (pun) its an ironing job but local. We'll see they wanted a full CV, erm, no idea why.
So I sent my full one, that will take them a while.Group session, more painting depending on snow, make tea, some life admin.
Hugs and lots of them. Its freezing. One room warm here.
Feeling a bit strange down south here, as the weather's just, um, blah ... grey sky, sometimes nippy, sometimes not. And then I see all the photos of the snow! And we've got all sorts of rain warnings (wind too) but round here its really not bad. Hope you're toasty in your room, at least.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hello Pips,
Every time I hear how horrendously windy it is in Orkney I still think of you, and then realise you don't have it quite so bad any more (I think?)
Glad you are managing to squeak by in spite of the best efforts of the council. Good luck with the job-hunt.
It's freezing here; I have 5 layers of clothes on my top half, a blanket round my knees, and I'm sitting here with my feet on a hot-water bottle!0 -
Hi Pip, you may have the version of the lurgy that I had - 8 days in bed in November followed by 8 weeks of dreadful fatigue - improving now. What worked best was just accepting it, and having plenty of daytime rest (work permitting - I work part time) and loads of early beds and longer lies, when possible.
Hope you can use these indoorsy months to rest as much as possible.

Merry Christmas to you too my lovely lass and all you lovlies up there.
Caz thanks for the heads up. I must look that one out.
And we do have an overflowing (I nearly wrote overflowering) cheese drawer in the fridge.
Greying lovely how marvelous to see you too and KC over the page. I'm sorry I've been pretty vacant. M21 thank you too.
Right the rayburns on (well whatever its called 'esse') and that reminds me of nessie.
So nessie is on and in full firey mode. Kettle will be on over the festives, so I'll fill up the scones and keep the biscuits plumped or is that cushions. You'll find me on the sofa x Room for a few extra's too. [Don't look at the messy kitchen)
Thank you all so much for being here for me and such good advice all year long. You're a grand bunch.

Hi please excuse quoting an old post. An Mse chum directed me here when I was asking about anyone's experience with the ironheart.
Can I ask how you are getting on with it? Are you finding it good for both heating and cooking?
Any regrets?
We'd probably be getting a wood grate.....any experience with that?
Again, sorry for random questions0 -
Hi Pippi, just checking in after being away. Hope everyone is well? It's very very cold here at the moment so sitting in lots of layers to avoid putting heating on.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
