eBay defect rate too complicated

Just had a quick look at the eBay defect rate seler dashboard thats coming into effect. How much more complicated do they want to make things?
80% of people can't write a grammatically correct advert, how on earth are they going to understand all of these figures to do with defect rates etc.

Some won't, and that's how they will end up losing their eBay accounts.
In a nutshell defects are :
3* or less for item as described
Case opened by buyer for item not received
Neutral or negative feedback received
Seller refunds due to item out of stock or sold to another buyer
Think that's it, but I may have missed something
Defects will not be reversed by eBay unless seller can prove item not received as been delivered
As eBay actively encouraged sellers to have buyers open cases for INR, lots of sellers are facing problems when this comes into effect in AugustYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

The secret is to sell something very cheap and that would require little effort to post in addition to your normal items. I brought 1000 of an item that I can sell at 99p. I am only making a few pence on each but I can just stick them in an envelope. My transaction numbers have taken off and my account can take take a good number of defects now with no problems.0

I have done exactly the same, but how many sellers are totally oblivious to the ticking bomb that may be on their accounts. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Plus I believe any refunds made directly through Paypal without going through resolution centre ie if buyer changes mind and you refund through paypal *first* and then send a cancellation it's a defect.
You could raise a cancellation first but then eBay recommend buyers don't accept cancellations without having their refund first...0 -

Wondered how I had escaped a few defects, obviously because I didn't request a cancellation. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Thats a fab idea, problem is I can't imagine what could be so cheap as to sell for 99p and make a few p on them at the same time!0 -

Without giving away too much, have a look at completed items on eBay and see what sells for 99p then see if you can source it.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever
