Neighbours putting broken glass on doorstep!

The wife seemed to agree with me that it was a stupid/dangerous but then the husband came out and got aggressive, picked up the glass and threw it in my flat.
He then brought up random incidents from last 5 years of family members helping me out with things, such as brother taking old furniture away in van, Dad putting up flat pack. He said I was f-ing lazy and would deserve it if I was injured on the glass. I have never spoken to this man!
I didn't sleep last night worrying about this man, got up this morning, the glass is gone but smaller bits were put all over my doormat. I don't know what to do, could I go to police with this?

I don't care for what you WAS could have been a judge for all I care it still doesn't change the fact LAW is LAW legal is legal.
and to poke fun at freemen! knowing full well what they are doing is perfectly within their rights to be one and practice it...
And grammar is grammar - and what you write is grammatically incorrect. Sigh......0 -
Sounds like he's been (quite rightly) getting it in the ear from his OH about what a stupid idea it was. You just ended up on the receiving end of him already knowing he was being a prat.
I'd probably mention nicely to the OH that he's missed a bit. Then you might not see a repeat of the idiotic, malicious behaviour.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
For those interested in 'freeman on the land' arguments, there is an interesting link here.
They argue that the law does not apply to them, pay a lot of money to people selling the kits that allow them to go in front of a judge to argue that they don't have to pay taxes/child support/road tax etc and have zero success rate.
They started off around the United States, got a serious foothold in Canada before the widespread news that they had a zero success rate and are creeping in here.
Their view of legal history is so bad that it isn't even wrong, it is beyond wrong. I got into a bit of a dingdong about it on mumsnet, but I'm not allowed to use those words on here.
Sorry for the derail, OP, hopefully you will get some resolution soon.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
OP who is actually responsible for the communal garden? The land must belong to somebody. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi all,
to clarify theres no management company as there's only 6 flats. Upper/lower villas with a small patch of grass in middle. we are all responsible.
There was no extra glass today. Maybe that will be the end of it but I'm saving up for a little camera to monitor the situation0 -

Marshmallow - if you can, take time-stamped (or any) photographs of any episodes of glass being left out, as well as any 'incidents' with the afore-named wazzock (
). It might seem a bit pointless but in the - highly unlikely - event of this turning into something nasty, you'll be very glad that you did.
What sort of a loon puts broken glass in an area like that anyway? Anyone could get hurt on it, never mind the local felines...!
And a Land Registry search (which you can do online for about £4) at http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/ (NOT one of the similar-looking con-sites; this is the correct link) will probably tell you for sure who owns the land in question.
Hope this helps. x0 -

OP, do all the flatholders own the freehold for the land the flats stand or do you pay ground rent as your property is leasehold? If it is the later you might want to contact the freeholder, if there are any further incidents.0
