To all the girls that trial for click research, do you get to know what the product was afterwards? I didn't really like not knowing what it was before putting it on my face but I still did :rotfl:

when you trial most products whether it be cosmetic, beauty or even household you usually are not told before hand what it is you are testing incase a brand name might influence your preferences in the trial...

Some companies will tell you after what it is you have trialled although thats not always the case...Clicks do give generic lists of who tests through tthem I think on the website....and in most cases the products have been quite well tested in a lab environment before they are le out on the humans...

Really if you dont like putting something on your face that you dont know the brand of...product trsting may not be for you!...although having said that Ive done some wonderful tests in the past for clicks and also other companies and tried things I would never thought to have bought...but some have become very firm favourites....so its also good to look at it as an opportunity to try something new and different.

Thanks for the reply. That makes perfect sense......the knowing what it is first so that may influence your opinion. The only other product testing I've done and am still doing is for BzzAgent so the not knowing part was new to me.

Sorry if I came across as being a bit of a snob about not wanting to put unknown products on my face. Honestly I'm not. I just started to panic when it started to sting like mad and suddenly thought OMG what have I just put on my face anyway lol!

The cleansing milk just arrived today so will slap that on later on tonight :)

    Not snobbish at all!....

Although bzz isn't technically product testing...with bzz you are sent a product to try,and as a result you influence your friends etc to try the product too....at the point you are sent the product its usually available in the shops to buy so really its a case of not "testing " the product but more encouraging others to buy it too.

Basically if you are sent a product in its full packaging and asked to try it like you get from bzz you are promoting the product...whereas if you are sent a cleanser in a plain packaging and are asked to use it and complete a questionaire following a set time, then thats counted as product testing, there are several main companies who do plain packaging product testing, most of which you can find the details of on the forums here.

    Ahh thanks LEJC :)

I would love to be a Boots product tester but unfortunately they're not taking any more on :( I've applied for Givaudan and am waiting for forms to fill in through the post. Are there any other good product testing sites?

Once again thanks for all your help:)

    :)

there are probably lots around, some of the product testing is linked to survey sites like Toluna or Ipsos or super savvy im sure there are others but my minds gone blank!...Tescos have limited product testing....then there are companies like JML and Vax who are very infrequent but for those who get the chance to test a new vacuum its very worthwhile.

theses also a company called comeround which if you like their concept of "holding a party" for at least 9 friends can be quite fun...

Does anyone know how to get a response from Clicks , I have tried emailing (returned undeliverable) and messaging in Facebook, no reply
    VERY frustrating

No - I've tried emailing them in the past about some contradictory instructions, but had no reply from them.
  • Just completed my profile and waiting for trials:) Are there any other make up trials websites?
