I was quoted 2.7k for the UFH of our Kitchen and dining room.

    Two rooms approx 4x5M each

So I do seem to be in the right ball park with this.

I've had a bit of interest from a couple of contractors so will see what their quotes come in at

We had our boiler and wiring overhauled about 4 years ago with the plan to have an extension so I am hoping that it will not need upgrading for including UFH. Am I right in thinking the UFH is around the £3k mark?

This glass room faces North (ish) so overheating will not be an issue.

Slightly concerned that you say 'much' higher though. We are going to be having the glass bifold, glass roof plus a 2x1m roof light, so I would have thought comparable to your large roof lantern - how heavy was it???

No idea how heavy I am afraid but it took a lot of people to raise it as there wasn't enough access space for a crane. It is 4.5m by 2.5 m with 4 auto opening roof vents. I don't know individual costs as we chose to use a single solution provider rather than deal direct with each supplier.
