    I agree with everyone!


    Sutton Coldfield is a nice place, Four Oaks is too (expensive though)but traffic is a complete nightmare from Four Oaks to Sutton in the rush hours so would avoid driving through there.


    Edgbaston and Harborne are good places to live but as someone said certain parts of Edgbaston are not so good so stick with Edgbaston Harborne side.


    Also as someone suggested there are some nice parts of the city centre you can find flats for rent, parking spaces maybe difficult but some flats to come with allocated spaces.

    North part of Edgbaston near Gillott road is not good.

    The problem of south side of edgbaston is the traffic on hagley road in rush hour.

    May be he should find somewhere near Pype Hayes Park at Erdington as mentioned by others.
