Possibly because Tesco Bank is registered in Scotland and it's not a Bank Holiday in Scotland.

Don't think so. They are also crediting interest on Saturdays and Sundays.

That sounds reasonable. I'll try aother standing order on 1-Dec and see if it goes on the 2'nd.

Neither Bank of Scotland nor Clydesdale work that way - but then both of those are joint operations with English banks.

System

Scottish banks all (currently ) operate to English Bank Holidays.

Although, Tesco Bank is based in Edinburgh, it isn't a particularly Scottish bank.
