Has blight struck yet?

I started digging up some of my potatoes a few weeks ago (bear in mind I had 13 containers of them!) I started with the worst affected plants and just fininished digging them up an hour ago. I am so sad to see all the space we now have, I miss seeing the plants already. We didn't get a bad crop all in all, in excess of 50lb and I have 1 lonely seed potato left, which I am hoping to get in if the weather ever improves, so that I can have fresh spuds for xmas.
Unfortunately, our toms also have blight. Thankfully the tumbling tom had already fruited some time ago and the fruit is now starting to change colour, but I don't think the other 4 plants will make it to that point0 -
I'd caution against putting any blight infected potatoes or tomatoes on your compost heap as the spores infection can carry over in the compost to another year and be moved to another part of the garden when you dig it in.. Burn the haulms or put them in your dustbin.0

I think if mine start showing definite signs of blight then I'll grab what fruits off it I can and make green tomato chutney

My outdoor toms are showing blight right now. I have bought bordeaux mixture on my dad's advice and am going to give that a try as soon as I get chance to go down and spray. I am really annoyed as I put all my beefsteak toms outside this year

Gutted to find my allotment spuds had blight last weekend. Read up about it and says to cut tops off then lift spuds 2/3 weeks later to prevent spores from getting onto the spuds and making them rot in storage. I cut off the worst ones and sprayed the rest with Bordeaux mixture and am keeping my fingers crossed. I don't want to lift them all yet if I can help it.0

Yoiu should find it in most places that sell garden items, maybe even some supermarkets & Wilkinsons
If you have trouble finding it look for some Dithane 945 [I think right number], which is a bit better as it gets into the plant so it says, but it is more expensiveWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
