I haven't received any statement yet, have you?
Judging by the statements I can see for my savings accounts, a statement gets produced on the monthiversary of account opening rather than on a calendar month basis.
My accounts were opened on the 17th and 19th respectively, so I am not expecting my first statement for another couple of weeks yet.0 -
I have only a statement for my easy access account. Nothing for the internet saver despite being opened around the same time.
Just found this in their FAQs
Interest on your current account is paid monthly, on the day after your statement date.
Your statement will show the interest you've earned in the previous month."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
I have been speaking to Tesco today as having issues with the ID to set up my account and the lady advised you can have 2 accounts, but the 750 has to be received externally and cannot be a standing order from 1 account to the other!0
-
There is nothing in the T&Cs that stipulate the source of the monthly deposit, so the lady was wrong. That said, if you have other accounts at other banks that require minimum deposits, you might as well swap the payments between them. If you set up the SOs for the same day and the same amounts, they should always get executed on the same day (even if weekend) and the effect on your account balances should be neutral0

I was closing my Halifax accounts and moving them to Tesco with the hope of setting up 2 and splitting my wages between them and she said it has to come externally not between accounts, but I will clarify this when I set up a 2nd account.0

Oh no, shame you got rid of your Halifax account(s). Is it too late to stop the closure of your Halifax account(s) and to keep a Reward account (even if you had to ask Halifax to switch you to Reward)?
Because if you had a Reward account, you could get £60 a year for just swapping £750 a month with one or two Tesco accounts. You'd also need 2 DDs on the Halifax Reward, but that's easy to achieve.
In any case, though, she is wrong. Don't ask them again, you just risk to get more naff information. Read the T&Cs instead.0 -

I'm switching my reward saver to First Direct. Opened reward saver at the beginning of May with 2 dd and 750 a month going in and no sign of any fiver."It would be easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce" - Basil Fawlty0 -
Well today they've fixed logging in but they aren't sending one-time validation codes to my mobile, so I can't do much. >_>0

I could log in yesterday but cannot today.0
