What is the price of hand delivered milk these days?

I think ours is about 60-odd pence per pint. The plastic by-the-litre bottles are cheaper, but we like getting glass rinse & return bottles.

    Hi,

do they still have the foil tops, where the birds used to peck in and steal a bit of the cream?

Don,t know how they get away with delivering milk in an un refrigerated vehicle & leave it un refrigerated on your doorstep for several hours.
Why do the supermarkets have to keep milk at 5 degrees or below ??
& the milkman can just ignore all the regulations ????

You're not going to like this, but Supermarkets don't have to keep it below 5 degrees either. The requirement is that milk is stored at a reasonable temperature.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
