Starbucks, Trainers and Cottages - Ohhh My!

Today I ordered some of Mr Mars parents christmas! Getting them delivered to my sisters house and she is going to wrap and drop off!
To do list:
1) Cancel reward accounts - can't believe I have not done this yet!!!
2) Request online banking reminders
3) Fix tesco clubcard account - huge mess meaning I cannot log in!
4) Still to send cheques for my nephews. And get my mum and dad a present...
Before you think I am lazy...the time difference is killing me!!!
Got running around in my new car today! Enjoying having a small car to zip around in. We invested in a larger 4 wheel station wagon for our first car which chews the petrol but will be safer on the off road trips etc. But my little car barely uses any petrol! A great wee buy I'm hoping.
My bro has asked me to half in for a present for my mum, I want to but its £100. That is a lot more than we were planning on paying this year and it wouldn't be fair on the other parents. Not sure what to do.
Also been scarred, more than once, with halving in for presents where I basically I pay half but the other person doesn't give me any recognition for paying half. So I've showed up and they didn't wait on me arriving and they have already gave them the present...so I wasn't there when they handed the present and now it looks like I got you nothing...so I then desperately pipe up that I halved in, but it looks like I forgot to get you a present and called them up and asked if I could put money toward s the gift.
I KNOW that is not why you give, but I want people to know that I care and I did get them something and that I didnt not forget, in fact sometimes it was MY IDEA!!!
Negative feelings are coming back. Think I just need to avoid these situations at all costs and just get my own presents. Unfortunately these will not be £200 presents...Originally debt free 27th November 2014 :T

Have experienced the same V. I wouldn't do it with a one off gift unless sharing with 3 or 4. Anyone else could share too?
We do it for my inlaws just between the two, but that is vouchers and its the same each year so they know now. It's a habit.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Yeh, think I am going to just stick with what we were doing! I don't want to be the person who gets my family expensive gifts but don't to the same/be fair to Mr Mars family, that then means I would also need to spend £100 on each of them and my dad to be fair all round! Whilst I currently do not have a job, that is not ideal!!!

Ordered Mr Mars mammy's present (via the clubcard boost - how could I not use it? PLUS the item had £10 off it!!!). My sister is going to collect. She is being a star and collecting and wrapping all my presents and then dropping them off...put a beard and a belly on her and she literally is Santa :santa2::xmastree::snow_laug
I said I wasn't doing xmas presents for the adults of the family but going to get them all a wee NZ xmas decoration. Will cost £10 each but probably £12.50 to post! :rotfl:
Night all

It DOES feel like teetering on the edge. I can't quite enjoy the moment as I was here in January 2011 and I let it all slip BAD. So not really celebrated yet! I had dreamed of spa days and champagne the day I was debt free....but nothing!
We were SUPPOSED to go out tonight to celebrate as I got the official job offer AND we are debt free. BUT I had made lasagne and Mr Mars was tired so we just stayed in and are sitting with Margaritas watching The Blacklist! Bliss. :rotfl:Originally debt free 27th November 2014 :T

Today I have the worst hangover. Ever.
How is alcohol not illegal? Anything that makes you feel this bad should not be legal. I literally cannot move, and just about to go for my second bath and then back to bed to watch The 100 on netflix!
Deliberating whether to try and stomach some noodles that Mr Mars made last night, need to stop wasting food. We are spending a fortune over here and If we really want to get a house deposit sorted we need to start watching the spending! Plus with the costs of Christmas I think we are going to need to dip into our savings to cover it!!!

Poor you Veronica. I can't handle a hangover these days, two glasses of anything is my limit. I'm more likely to buy some nice chocolate
Such good news about the job. We may be starting new jobs together.:T:)OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I feel bad getting sympathy for a self inflicted sickness! Its £40 for a taxi over here just a short ride (less than 10k) can you belive it?!? I think as a result someone will always be driving and I think it will be me until this feeling goes away! Plus I really need to start getting fit and back into my running and copious amounts of wine and hangovers do not help!!!
The 100 is awesome - you should watch if you have netflix!
Yehhhhh! When do you start your job SS1000? I start Wednesday! Only for 10 days then I finish up for Christmas on the 20th and am off until the 9th! :j
My new boss seems sooooo nice I really feel already that I have made the correct decision! He has high expectations for me and I feel like he has taken a chance (as the person I am replacing has got homesick and went back home to Australia) so want to do him and myself proud! :rotfl:
Need to get a rewards point NZ credit card so I can get a bonus out of my business expenses! xOriginally debt free 27th November 2014 :T

Adding this link so I don't forget it:

It does the meal planner AND then gives you the shopping list. You can import recipes from websites, so far I am LOVING it. Going to hopefully do all my online shopping with the help of this bad boy!!!
