o2 contract phones are unlocked, but im pretty sure all payg ones are locked.

you can use a virgin sim in a tmobile locked phone, so if you can find one on tmobile, you wouldn't have to get it unlocked

    Cheers that's handy to know;)

AFAIK from someone knowledgeable on this forum, the SE K750i can only be code unlocked, not at a shop. The camera is great outside or in very good light but very fuzzy with indoor pics and the video's awful, but otherwise it's a nice phone.

vodafone ones can be unlocked via the vodacode database or via cable and software in a local shop.

im not too sure about what you are saying here pigeonpie, but k750i's can be directly unlocked (in a local shop) with cable and software or via code.

i do agree about the video quality though, its terrible. no other SE beats the w900i with its video quality (yet!)

g_g you may well be right??? I was told by a mobile unlocker on this site that my K750i needed a code and I'd be wasting my money in an unlock shop.
My old SE basic critter was cable unlocked and is still working, sort of....:-)
