Is it worth building up a MASSIVE bill to leave Vodafone contract
Hello All,
It seems to me that everyone on Vodafone has a great opportunity to leave their expensive contracts by building up significant out of bundle charges this month. As far as I read it, Vodafone will look at your charges this month and if the out of bundle price increases would result in a bigger than 10% increase to your bill then you can leave. Seems it would be worth it to build up a big build this month to ditch your expensive contract and move to a sim only deal.
Love some advice to see if I'm right.
Thanks,
Geoff

What makes you think that you wouldn't be liable to pay that massive bill, albeit for one month only, at the previous price?0

Great advice, Geoff.
Here's some advice for you: Don't sign up for a flashy new phone on a contract you can't afford.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -
Didn't say I can't afford it. But I would rather pay less per month if possible. That seems rather obvious redcard...
NFH - I imagine you would be responsible for the extra 30-40 quid (I haven't worked it out but that seems the top end of what it would be) but you would be saving about 300-400 over the course of a 24month contract.
Caught-up Redcard?0 -

You signed up for a 24 month contract, right?
If you wanted to pay less you should have been thinking about that before you signed the contract.
There's 100s of threads on here from people exactly like you. The sign up for a flashy phone, or worse, a flash new car, then a few months later decide they couldn't really afford it.
I get it though, you were only interested in the 'free' phone, not how much it was going to cost you every monthHope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -
Wow, angry man...
Read what I have written. Slowly, it may help...
I can afford it. Vodafone changed the contract. I can leave it, if I build-up a bill this month, which will save me money. As a Serious Moneysaving Fan surely you must agree?0 -

You have no idea how expensive my contract is or how flashy my phone is. You must feel a little silly now. Never mind...0

You are totally correct, Geoff. I have no idea how expensive your contract is. I never claimed to know.
Did you forget what you wrote in your opening post?Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -

Where did you read this? Why would Vodafone let you leave? They must be happy if you use more than your allowance...0
