I'm going out! I'm going out!
Following the success of my Winter Wonderland visit I decided to try the same approach again. I contacted an animal sanctuary in the next town that allows children to visit at weekends, and said I have a mental illness which means that I can't be around people but I would love to visit.
They have invited me to visit next Friday when only the staff are there! There are dogs, cats, small animals like rabbits and chinchilla's, many farm animals, horses and ponies, llamas, reptiles, snakes and spiders. I will be given a tour and allowed to interact with as many animals as I want, even the snakes, insects and spiders! They expect it to take 3 hours if I want to meet everything! I will make a donation to them as they are a charity, what incredibly kind people.

I can't wait! I chose this particular charity because they run programmes for children within the care of social services to learn about animals, I figured they might not get too freaked out by someone with mental illness who may need to disappear under a blanket occasionally. If there are only staff around I may be fine though, providing they don't follow me around in a crowd. I have explained the blanket and also that I will need to rest a lot due to arthritis and they are fine with it.

JM...is there an idiot's guide to match betting?
Starting with...." What is Match Betting" in words of one syllable?

If you still struggle a bit I could PM you an even more simple explanation which explains why it works. It's what I tell my friends, but I don't want to put it (my extra simple explanation) on the board for two reasons - some b*gger will nick it, and I don't think it should be any simpler for the masses. There are some people who start and make my blood run cold cos they obviously DON'T understand what they are doing!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
WaS that sounds amazing! Well done you for contacting them, and well done them for being so helpful.
That's really put a big smile on my face0 -

Please may I have the pm. Misskool had offered to walk me through it in the past but I never took her up on the offer.0 -
OMG! That's what happens when you answer a question about match betting without reading to the end of the thread!
Pyxis - I really laughed about your cake! I think you and mellymoo should live together for a while, because if anyone can make food sound appetising, you can! (Also I saw that programme on different diets as well. When I did the test I only came out as a 59% constant eater, or whatever they are called, but it's still obvious to me that the 5:2 suits me far better than any other diet.)
WaS - sooo brilliant! I can't wait to hear about the visitYou really do seem to be achieving more and more!!!!!

You are very welcome, but just let me know, before I send it, whether you are happy with the idea of fractional odds - things like 5/2. (Don't worry if you are not, my explanation is almost simpler if you don't understand odds, TBH!)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
