Here is the silver spoon I made today! :D

It started out as a 3mm thick rectangle, the size of the white piece of paper in the top pic, and ended up as this spoon, wobbly edges and all!i
It was achieved solely by forging and annealing, with a bit of filing, sanding and polishing thrown in! (Forging is basically hitting it into shape with a hammer!)

It's the first spoon I've ever made, and although it's far from perfect, it's not too difficult to achieve in a relatively small space of time!

That's SO beautiful. Awesome. I'm so impressed. I'd love to be able to create like that. Well done!! The bowl of it as such a satisfying shape. It looks quite timeless, which appeals hugely to me.

I would walk 500 miles, and it would walk 500 more just to be the woman who walk 1000 miles to meet your spoon. Lalala, lalala, lalala. ( still going. From last night).

Seriously, what tremendous work, I hope you are suitably proud of your self. Are you going to admire it or use it?

    Oh, admire it! :D

I don't have plans to use it, but you never know!

Wow Pyxis, fantastic spoon. Its lovely. You're so creative. Me, I did some metalwork at school and was just horrible at it.

Actually lovely spoon aside I have a bone to pick with you! Dundee? Associating me with Dundee? That's just mean! (Actually, its like they speak a different language in Dundee. I struggle to understand. Eg. Twa pehs an ingin ane an aw, means "Two pies and an onion one too".) I couldn't be more offended if you linked me with Abderdeen!!

WaS, I'm super excited for you for tomorrow.

How big is the bowl of the spoon? Would it be about a teaspoon sized? Could you make or find a beautiful little silver bowl for a silver sugar bowl?

It seems so gorgeous I'd want opportunities to present it to people :D
