Good morning night owls.
I am really pleased because littlewing's Christmas concert is on my day off. For once I get to go to something that doesn't require a huge amount of reorganisation of everything else.
Hello haybel. I hope you are lurking and I haven't scared you off the thread completely, especially as a certain poster has a birthday soon!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Good morning! Look at all these night owls when for once I was asleep! I hope everyone managed to get some sleep eventually!
Sorry about your experience with the doctor, oyster but you did it! You have a new medication to try. Hopefully this one will work for you. Well done for going.
Yes, MU I'll take all the spare hugs anyone has, please! Good news about beau and Christmas!
Aw, that is lovely, whitewing! I bet littlewing will be wonderful!
I have electric shocks down my face so now I know what it is I am sitting here in a scarf, with a blanket pulled up to my neck and a hot water bottle wedged on my shoulder. Not the most comfortable position but hopefully it helps! I skipped physio this morning because the neurologist said avoid it when the neuralgia is there so my carer got to leave after 15 minutes which was good because she has a client she wanted to spend extra time with today, poor lady doesn't have long left. I was more than happy to let her leave early to give some extra time where it is needed.
On the subject of carers the agency mine works for is horrid! They give her 10 minutes to get between clients no matter the traffic and a 15 minute lunch break. She was saying she hardly ever finishes the day on time and of course people get angry that she is late but there is nothing that she can do. She often has a sandwich whilst driving to try to make some time up. She isn't allowed to reduce clients either, it's a tough job emotionally because she is often the only person that clients see all day and some want to chat but she either refuses or makes herself and everyone else late. It makes her feel horrid to walk away when someone is offering her tea just because they want the company.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Don't worry WaS, the site went down soon after I posted but I'm sure it wasn't anything I did
My neighbours' carer had similar problems.
They seemed to expect her to teleport between jobs and gave her jobs 20 mins walk from each other despite knowing she doesn't drive.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
That happened to me the other night, too dibuzz!
I don't often speak to my carer about her job but she was talkative today because she is upset over her very ill client. I didn't realise that she had to keep to such a tight time schedule, it is ridiculous because if someone is ill it makes sense that their needs might be a little more some days. She has a lot of elderly clients with no family and they often try to get her to stay longer just for a chat which she can't do. It is a very tough job, it would kill me emotionally to have to walk away from someone who didn't have anyone else when they wanted me to stay.
I now feel bad over the time I was psychotic during the night a few months ago and when she arrived she phoned WaSp and waited with me until he arrived. That must have totally ruined the rest of her day and that of her clients. It was also very sweet of her to stay with me while under so much pressure.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I've said it on here before, and I will say it again. There is always Silverline. She could dial the number for them as she leaves and hand it over http://www.thesilverline.org.uk/:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Thank you, whitewing. I shall tell her that tomorrow, hopefully it will help them and her.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

My teacher friend has sent me a piece of amber for my birthday with flying ants, a beetle and flies in it! It is fascinating and millions of years old! I keep staring at it through WaSp's microscope and I am not sure whether to say wow! or ewww! They are all perfectly formed and intact. I had always wanted fossils and he had previously sent me a fossilised fish, now I have my amber, too. This is so sweet of him, I really am so touched, he doesn't have to send me anything!
(I also feel bad because they are dead but I am refusing to feel guilty about things that died millions of years ago. They are making me happy now so they still mean something to someone! I'll shut up).

Amber sounds like a good thing for you WaS as "It balances the emotions, clears the mind, releases negative energy" .
And it's lovely to look at!Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.0 -
Hello, Solar! It is so pretty and lovely to hold, very smooth and silky. If it helps balance me then even better. I am fascinated with it!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
