In my home one of the other people we've always acknowledged around Christmas time is the tomte, or tomten. He gets traditionally porridge over night. But here he just gets a knob of butter ( which he likes on porridge usually) and what ever is handy (and pet safe )

Just had to buy 2 birthday presents and a big sister present. Oh my word toys are expensive these days.

Still got 2 more baby presents and a big brother present to buy. And a nappy cake to pay for. People need to stop having babies in November cause now I have no money.

On the plus side I did meet the loveliest staffie and had me some staffie cuddles. Dumbass dog is not going to be impressed.

Oct half term is a good time to buy toys as most major retailers have sales on at that point.

ETA: and it is near enough the occasion that you don't buy them something that is unsuitable.

Can someone please give me a kick up the bum please? I'm being totally grouchy and grrr this afternoon and I want to put my head on my desk and sob. I think its girl hormones combined with being all alone in the office with only another team for company and they don't talk to me.

I'm currently celebrating the fact i now have a christmas tree I couldn;t have one last year cos there was no room in the crappy bedsit

It's black (cos im all gothic or something like that) and my tinsle and baubles are all muticoloured! It's not up yet but when it is will post a pic

Black provides an excellent background for colour messed up. the art in my cheese room is almost all chosen to be bright colours against a dark background ( as well as a Particular theme and style....and finally, we have to like it!)

What is a cheese room? Considering cheese is my most favourite thing even overtaking chocolate in my preferences I think I need one!
