It's fine. Well, no, it's not. But this was inevitable really. And it will be fine, eventually.

Dumbass dog has ended his kitchen exile and has joined me on the sofa for cuddles.

They never sulk for long do they lol? When I last brought Percy (best cat in the world) home from the vet he shot out of the carrier, gave me a filthy look then hid down the side of the sofa.... for 5 mins, then he back on my lap purring his head off.

Big hugs code, am struggling with eating today too. Seems that the hard work of the last 4 months will be wiped out in a couple of days at this rate. Glad you're getting doggy cuddles, everything is better with a cuddle xx.
  • Aw, Dog dog looks so comfy LIR! Those socks look like exactly what I need, even now I am sitting in 3 pairs of normal ones and therefore constantly shifting the tops around because my feet are swelling already.

Don't beat yourself up code, it was a blip. It happens to the best of us and I have done that myself on quite a few occasions. I know you don't feel great afterwards but it is in the past now, try to leave it there as much as you can. Give Dumbass dog a big hug and have a very gentle hug for you, too from me.

One of the dog rescue places I follow linked to an article about dogs and it said dogs don't like being hugged and they don't like having their heads or faces touched. Obviously dumbass dog didn't get the memo as he loves being all wrapped up in my arms, and having his head, and face scratched. He also likes having his paw held in my hand, or having it over one of us, like he's giving hugs.

That's funny code, I read an article a while ago about how stroking cats stresses them out. I remember saying at the time that clearly my cat hadn't been told that :) he loves a cuddle, and if you stop stroking him he'll headbutt your hand until you start again.

WaS, if you've a Health and Safety person coming , let them see the mushrooms! They might just have an idea!

Also, when you clean them off, do please wear a mask and maybe something over your hair (so you won't have to wash it afterwards.)

If you don't have a mask, just tie a scarf around your nose and mouth. Just to make sure you don't breathe any spores in!

Actually, will you be ok up a step-ladder?

Re. Your tenancy. Now that you know you aren't going to be evicted, (:D), here's a plan you might want to consider......

After Christmas, why not 'pretend' that you're going to move to the sea-side? There's no rush, you can take your time! But you can research locations, and types of housing, and see what's on the rental market in your chosen location.
You can also look into which landlords take benefit tenants, etc., etc., find out what the Housing Office need to know and when, etc.

You could open a file on it, call it My Seaside Home file. You're pretending you are moving, so there's no stress, just an enjoyable hobby!
You never know, you might just find you're doing it for real!!!
And even if you don't do it, if you ever find you are in the process of moving, all the hard work will have been done!

AND, AND, best bit of all! You would have to go to the seaside town to recce, so what a GOOD EXCUSE for some more trips to the sea!!!! :)

Sorry I haven't been on here much, but have been learning AmDram stuff, and there's a Do on tonight, so I must get back to it. I'll probably be on adrenalin when I get back tonight, so will post then!!

Good decision, TeaLover!! I wish you clarity of thoughts!

Codemonkey, remember I was stuffing cake just a few days ago!! It happens! I've done two Zumbas and a Fast Day to make up for it!
