Tesco Mobile Retentions
Been searching on here and could not find a thread on this.
My contract is finishing at the end of June and I was on the 2GB plan that cost £12.50
The price has gone up to £15 so after this date most likely my bill will go up.
Has Tesco Mobile got a retention contact and if so has anyone been successful to get their bills down after being out of contract?
Thanks in advance and if there is a thread already created for Tesco Mobile then please merge this post

Your contract does not end in June, only the minimum term does. Do nothing and it wlll continue until you give 30 days notice.
There is no such thing as a retention contract. If you want to stay, then call them near the end of your minimum term and request your PAC. You will then be put through to retentions and can negotiate a deal.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I called in to cancel my contract with a view to get a better deal but I was told that tesco do something ?? fair policy which means that the current customers get the same deals as the new customers.
I was given the PAC but not any more than advertised on the Internet.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
Thanks for the reply,
I will wait till the end of June to see if they put the price up. If they do I might move to LycaMobile £12 deal with unlimited (well 4GB) data.0 -

basically no provider has a retentions team, as all they are is level 2 sales teams, who's job it is to try and keep you as a customer by offering you exclusive deals or provide a PAC if that what you really want.0

Has anyone managed to get a good deal out of Tesco recently? I get 500 mins, 5000 texts and 1GB for £10-a-month and I doubt they will offer me anything better than that. On online chat they would offer a free Moto E for that price, but only 500MB (same as the website). They suggested phoning up, but I thought I'd ask here first.0

same no matter where buyDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

It's not a free moto e is it. For the price of a £50 handset (which they no doubt paid less for wholesale) they get to dock you 500mb and secure your customer for 24 months.
As far as I can tell Tesco don't do deals of any type and basically what you see on the website is it.
I've been a customer a while. Considered a new iPhone 6 contract and called to see if they had any deals. Said a few places had it cheaper. They said 'you're should go with them then'. I also have a sim only I pay for for my cousin, he wanted a bit more data they said 'it's £10 for an extra GB'. I said GiffGaff do a similar deal for the same price but with more data. They said 'would you like your pac to go with that deal'.
In fareness their sim only deals are great and I've yet to find anything to beat my current 1000mins 5000sms and 1gb for £10.Sigless0 -

Well, exactly and there is no way I would go for that.
I did get Tesco to up my 500MB to 1GB during my contract (which came with a free phone) in exchange for changing my £0 cap to £2.50, so that is something.
Long term I wonder if it is worth moving to a company which will later offer a retention deal, e.g. I have read about people on Virgin Media negotiating £5 a month deals. Their prices are not too bad to start with, £12 a month for 1GB data and unlimited calls and texts (£1 a day for data if limit exceeded).0 -
Worth looking at Talktalk; negotiated 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 2.6 GB of data for £3.75 a month. Network is vodafone for now ( no 4G) but swapping over to O2.0
