5 kilos of strawbs picked this morning and 3 kilos of goosegogs. Still got loads of jam left from last year so might have a year off from jam making. Don't know what to do with the strawbs as everyone is getting sick of the blooming things already and loads more to come. Also looks like a bumper crop of rasps on its way too. Can you put garden produce on Freecycle I wonder? icon5.gif

    That's impressive Miro :T

I noticed quite a few competitions to win tickets for Taste of London in Regent's Park but I held off doing any - daughter and her BF now live in St Albans but they only came back from holiday on Thursday so I thought they would be too zonked for a big day out esp as they had a do in Covent Garden on Saturday night.

So you think this event will be held again next year and if so is it a good one for ordinary mortals for freebies, vouchers, coupons and sampling?
If so I will add it to next years calendar.

A wonderful and kind person gave me tickets for the BBC Good Food show in Birmingham a few weekends ago and it was a nice day out, loads of sampling but not a patch on the show that it was, very few freebies - I think the best was 2 cat food sachets, 2 MOCs for Lurpak cooking range and Gourment cat food, only 3 prize draws to enter :(

To be honest the last summer one I worked at was in 2007 which was pretty stingy compared to this year, this one was brilliant. I know they're holding it again around November and generally the show travels around - they're taking it to Paris next year too, but yes it will be on again next year. It's not a cheap show to go to, but if you can get free tickets it's not so bad. Loads of stalls and food, but anywhere between £3-£20 for a small dish of food

During my break I kept walking around and there were tons of free samples from hot food, drinks (alcoholic and otherwise, though couldn't participate from Friday because of antibiotics :(), chocolate, desserts etc.
