I'm sure it took lots of people by surprise yesterday - was torrential  still muggy here though. "Muggy" now reminds me of TOWIE, they use that word all the time and i don't like it in that context. But i like it when talking about the weather.:pTiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find0 -
i have just over 3 kilos of strawberries to use today, and a lot of redcurrants, think its jam making:D0

I am well and truly "offered" out....totally up to date on the try me frees...its a situation that only happens every now and again....at least I do have the milk voucher...
Its going to be an expensive shop I fear..and possibly a bit muggly as I also need to get bits and pieces for holiday...sun cream and insect repellent too
I dont usually mind shopping but somehow this one doesnt seem as if it will give me much back in return.....
this is a very bad situation to be in - can you do the shop via Aldi, Lidl, Home Bargains, B and M and the various pound shops - it might feel less awful then having to hand over real money“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I'm good thanks PD. You?
I "booked" Saturday off - and went out without children or husband. Did retail therapy, tried clothes on, and generally went a bit mad with the credit card.. very un-mse (but i don't do it often):o I was out 6 hours and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Even got my free greggs pasty - they didn't know anything about it so just gave it to me and didn't scan my phoneIt was yum btw. I also went to the body shop and used my "birthday";) £5:T Loved having the time to myself.
So I've not been on here and prob missed loads
I really want to try one of those, love bbq pulled pork. Happy belated second birthmas
I spent last Wednesday - Sunday working at a Taste of London in Regent's Park. I was very MSE, they gave out so many free samples and bottles of water that I didn't need to take any lunch with me. Also scored some free tickets for my brother and his missus (would've been £56 otherwise ), 3 £10 Mahiki cocktails, a £10 recipe book, lots and lots of Lindt including a 100g bar of cherry intense, about 15 x 50p off Lurpak cooking range vouchers (run out in Nov.) with a cardamom & orange shortbread every time, and a free steak dinner with dulce leche ice cream afterOccasionally I did some work too
Also free parking on Sunday. Some times I marvel that I get paid to work at these things!

OK Ive got a slightly unusual problem
I won a twitter Aldi draw a couple of weeks ago and I was expecting a box of goodies but instead a £10 Aldi voucher turned up :T
These unexpected gift vouchers are like solid gold and although its not a massive amount I still want to spend it on something "significant" although I am not sure what constitutes significant
So I am stuck for ideas - we have a house full of wine so drink is not the answer. I did think of plants or suchlike but the quality of their plants has not been brilliant this year - I like the tiny thumb nail ones that you can pot on but I've not seen them recently and its a bit soon for the winter pansies.
Sadly I didn't get the latest Aldi voucher but they might not have allowed me to use vouchers and the gift voucher.
Ive got until August 1st to make my mind up so any ideas are welcome.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

5 kilos of strawbs picked this morning and 3 kilos of goosegogs. Still got loads of jam left from last year so might have a year off from jam making. Don't know what to do with the strawbs as everyone is getting sick of the blooming things already and loads more to come. Also looks like a bumper crop of rasps on its way too. Can you put garden produce on Freecycle I wonder?0 -

I noticed quite a few competitions to win tickets for Taste of London in Regent's Park but I held off doing any - daughter and her BF now live in St Albans but they only came back from holiday on Thursday so I thought they would be too zonked for a big day out esp as they had a do in Covent Garden on Saturday night.
So you think this event will be held again next year and if so is it a good one for ordinary mortals for freebies, vouchers, coupons and sampling?
If so I will add it to next years calendar.
A wonderful and kind person gave me tickets for the BBC Good Food show in Birmingham a few weekends ago and it was a nice day out, loads of sampling but not a patch on the show that it was, very few freebies - I think the best was 2 cat food sachets, 2 MOCs for Lurpak cooking range and Gourment cat food, only 3 prize draws to enter“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
